I apologize ahead of time if this is not the appropriate section to post in. I only figured that this group would be the most knowledgeable on this topic.

I'm doing my term paper for an English course, which is a persuasive essay, and I'm doing it on e-cigarettes and their benefits. I've already got 3 good sources, including the works of Murray Laugesen, through Health New Zealand. However, I need to add some more content. I was wondering if any of you have suggestions for perhaps studies on the effectiveness of e-cigs helping people quit, or anything of the sort that is "pro" e-cigs. I've covered safety, convenience (where not covered by local laws like in MI), and cost advantages, but I need to add more content.

Any suggestions would be great, and very very much appreciated! Again, if I've used the wrong area, I apologize.

Thanks everyone.

If the object of the exercise is to create an interesting essay, you might also look at the way government prioritises tax revenue over public health, and the way the pharmaceutical industry has suborned it. An alternative smoking method is being suppressed solely because it will hurt corporate profits and reduce tax income, not because it has potential for harm. Is the duty of government to protect public health or to maintain profits? These may in fact be mutually exclusive - an essay might develop that theme.
