Hi all,

I smoke about a pack per day of Marlboro Lights. Could you please help me choose the best kit and best liquid for me that would most resemble analog smoking?

I am hoping to reduce the costs associated with analog smoking significantly. With that said, I'm not looking for the lowest quality product on the market. I am ready to buy right away, and I have not even tried one out yet. My main reason for trying this is to save the costs, however the health aspect of cutting down or transitioning from analog smokes is a great extra value too.

What product would you recommend?
What liquid will most be like Marlboro Lights?
What else should I consider?
What should I expect?

- I would like to have the regular cigarette size, even at the expense of some battery life I am looking for something that is easy to carry the kit with me and small is better.
- I'll probably get a car charger
- I want a complete kit, with everything I need like extra battery, extra atomizer, a few cartridges (that I would like to refill myself), a case to keep it in, ect....
- I want to be able to purchase the liquid and refill the cartridges (can you do that with any of them or is it proprietary to the smoking unit?) It seems that it much more cost effective and effeicient to refill the cartridges yourself (after learning how of course).

Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated. Just seems like there is volumes of information to sift through, and since there is such a wide variety of tastes for analog cigarette smoking it only makes sense that there such a diversity of choices in e-smoking.

Thanks in advance.

I am in NH. They have those smokeanywhere kiosks in the Mall here, I was going to go try one just to get a sense, but everywhere I read that is probably not the best product or vendor.

Want to get something thats going to fit what I am looking for. I don't necessarily want to spend a million dollars but I don't want something thats going to break in a month either. Not only that, the smokeanywhere kiosks at the mall seem to be very overpriced.

I would prefer to stay with a US supplier rather than dealing with overseas.

Hello,
Welcome to the vapor life,
I started on a Npro Mini from Njoy. I soon realized it wasn't enough to keep me from Tobacco( Analog) ciggs. I then bought a Joye 510 and since I did, I haven't touched a Analog. I was a 2 pack or better a day smoker. The Vapor and throat hit from these e-ciggs are close to regular smoking. I smoked Camels for over 25 years. I like Hilton, Kent, Camel,
36 mg liquid. I cut it down to around 26mg now, but smoked it un cut for the first few weeks. I bought my 510 from Eastmall.com. I've bought liquids from many good suppliers such as Eastmall, Runyan direct, My Vapor store, Totally wicked. There are many good sites for juice and it's my intention to try them all. I want all of them to survive. I'm sure others will tell you about the brands they like. This is my opinion of what has worked for me. Good luck and read this site. There are lots of people with good tips. This site has helped me and probably saved my life. My Doctor will agree!!!!!

Welcome! I started with a 901 and like it. There is a newer version that sounds really great.

Just recently got a Joye 510 and LOVE it! Got it from Phil at e-smokey treats. Make sure you pick up some e-liquid and a USB passthrough... a must have to help save on the batteries.

I also have a M401 and do not like it. Not enough of a throat hit and you are constantly dripping on it.

Be sure to check out some videos on youtube as well. You can spend hours trolling this forum. GREAT information and a lot of nice people.

Good Luck!

I would NOT get an auto switch PV but as others have stated, the manual switch PV's provide much better throat hit and hold up better in the long run. The one closes to the look of an analog is the 510 and it is well liked. Here are some links:

Get a 510. No screwing around with problematic autoswitches, easy to refill carts or drip, produces tons of vapor, and close to the size of an analog. You can get a 510 kit with cartridges, a battery charger, 2 batteries and 2 atomizers for $40-$60.

DO NOT get an e-cig kit from a mall kiosk. I have not seen a kiosk myself, but everyone says they are WAY over priced.

As for tobacco flavors, just try some to see what you like. They will not taste the same as analogs, but they can be good. I like Marlboro and 555. To me, Marlboro tastes the way pipe tobacco smells and 555 is roasted and nutty.

I agree.. GET A 510!

It is over-and-above the best PV (Personal Vaporizer) on the market. I just bought my 2nd kit from CigTechs.com

Get some high strength Liquid to start, this will help you get off the cigarettes. I like Hilton (available almost anywhere), and Original Tobacco/TN Cured from Johnson Creek.

I have been a pack-a-day Lucky Striker for several years, and after fumbling with lesser models, have found my saving grace with the 510!

I have little choice but to recommend Chris at CigTechs as a great supplier! He will all but bend over backwards for his customers, and that kind of customer service deserves a few loyal recommendations. I got a new starter kit, and USB passthrough for less than $65 shipped (coupon code: 'e-cignews' for 15% off!!!).

Jason at ElectroNicStix.com seems to be another well revered supplier. Good Luck, and Happy Vaping!

Thank you for all the input.

I tried one at the Kiosk - even with no intention to buy from them. I found it to be a bit harsher than analog smoking - it even made me cough. I'm sure it takes some getting used to, maybe I was taking to big of a drag off of it. I guess I'm trying to find a good "juice" that would be smooth like Marlboro lights.

Sounds like the 510 is a well liked product and cost effective unit. Any suggestions on a smooth "juice" would be appreciated. I understand that the experience won't be exactly the same - but I would like to get it close. I got some recommendations above from people that used to smoke camels ect... I'm trying to find a juice that would be lighter, less harsh as I smoke Marlboro Lights. An analog camel would kill me just a quick as the harsh e-cig did last night:)

Regards,

The harshness you felt is referred to as "throat kick" and has much more to do with the nicotine level than the flavor.

Try try a medium nic marlboro juice. My 510 came with prefilled marlboro high nic carts and they did have a nice throat kick, but the taste itself was nice and smooth and tobaccoey(is that a real word?). So a medium nic marlboro may suit you well.
