I currently use a provari mini with tanks and cartos, however, I recently picked up a lava gen and phoenix and I was told that wrapped mesh coils work better on mech mods. Hey a new reason to by a mod. True or not. I would like to get a mech mod, but it would appear that none of the ones suggested are ever in stock anywhere. I was looking at GG, Poldiac, Titan 1.5, Gus and so on. Not even considering the high end mech mods that are going for 500 to 600 auction style, I am wondering is there a great mech mod out there that is in stock or will be anytime soon. Recommendations are appreciated and pics are a blessing.
THanks for your help in advance

The Silver Bullet ($85 from Altsmoke) is a very popular, durable, time-tested mech mod, and always in stock. You can add an extension sleeve and a Kick if you later decide to need variable voltage/wattage.

I recently bought two AGA T2 rba's with full intention to use on my Silver Bullet. However, I quickly found out that I actually prefer using them on my Provari more. I missed being able to adjust the voltage to match my juice flavors, and I found at least in my own experience that the sub-1 ohm coil on a mechanical mod is highly over-rated.

If you're looking for an excuse to buy another mod, go ahead with the excuse of getting one for your rba, but do it realizing that you already own the best PV you can buy.

I get laugh-out-load clouds of vapor with the Provari and the AGA's. Your issue is not with the Provari, its with something else. Either your wicks are not wicking enough juice or your coils are not perfect.

I'm only running a 2.0 ohm coil (6-7 wraps of 30g wire) and using 400 pre-wrapped stainless mesh wick (Vapor Kings) on both the AGA's. I prefer a cooler vape, hense the higher resistance coil on purpose.

Are you getting enough air flow? You may need to enlarge the cap's air hole.

Are you leaving the juice fill screw in or out? Leaving it out may increase juice wicking.

K100 is a solid mech at a good price $35-$40.

An RBA "can" work better on a mech, but can also work adequately on a VV or VW PV. For a regulated PVs, aiming for 1.8Ω - 2.0Ω and then adjusting your voltage to find your sweet spot. For a mechanical PV, a lower Ω coil with thicker wire gives an awesome vape.

I would use what you have, they are both good, you probably haven't found the best way to set it up yet.

What gauge wire and how many wraps are you using? What voltage range have you tried?

question , what is a bridge for the silver bullet they ask if you want or not/

As for the wick question, I do not use it really on my provari that much as I just find it easier to use the cartos. I am learning and utubing a lot about building wicks and so far have build one good one out of four. Still a Newbie!

thanks for the recommendation on ehuman. I will take your advice!

and for the vap thing, I took your recommendation and loosened the carto a little to see if letting more air in would produce more vapor. Guess what it does! Thanks man

You're just a flatterer :D

I got tired of looking at the analog in the pic, broken or not it doesn't belong in my hand anymore.

Glad to help. I'm not following you about the "bridge" question. Can you be more specific? I looked on the Silver Bullet order page at Altsmoke and couldn't even find the word.

when you go to order it, it asks about a low resistance atomizer. When you go to select one from the drop down it asks if you want one with or without.

That has to do with the atty not the silver bullet. Standard atomizers have a bridge, (a small piece of metal over the coil). Some dripping attys are offered without them.

Ok, now I understand. That is asking about the atomizer, a juice delivery device. You actually don't have to pick from any of those drop down menu's, and just order the Silver Bullet alone. Aside from batteries, and a charger if the charger you currently use for the Provari won't work.

The Silver Bullet uses an 18650 size battery. Although the vendor recommends only using protected ICR batteries, you can use the safe chemistry IMR batteries, too.

If you'd like a true mechanical mod...there are several good ones on this page, and I believe most are in stock.
Mechanical Mods

Not affiliated. I just know the vendor has some nice mechanicals. I got my LavaFire from them.

Hey, thanks so much for the rec. I ordered a K100 kit for 62.00. Great price on a learning mod and kit, I think.

Thanks so much for all your help guys.
