I'm willing to wait for shipping from China honestly, since I'm perfectly happy with my MVP and just wanting to get into mech mods as a side thing for at home use.

They do have this in their US warehouse, but it doesn't seem to come with all the goodies the previous one I posted does: $25.31 (USA warehouse)Stingray Style 26650 Mechanical Mod - black

I haven't used this vender, but there was a thread and a few people said that they had good luck. Cheapest price in the US for the Stingray that I have seen.
Stingray Mod Clone
It says copper but I think the yellow one is brass. The copper/red is copper.

That looks perfect actually. So just that and the Kick clone from madvapes and I'll be good to go.

Yeah, that should work. I picked up the new Evolv Kick 2, but it's like $40-45. You can get the original Evolv Kick, on their website for $20. I haven't used the clones, but they should be OK. They use 33.3Hz chips compared to the DC of the Evolvs, so they might not be quite the same, depending on how you feel about the whole rattlesnake thing.

Tried out the stingray at one of my local B&Ms today and the button press was really stiff :/ he also showed me a K103 that was nice, came with batteries and a basic kick, but was far too small for my hand. It also can't use an 18650. The last one he showed me I can't remember the name of. It was silver and had a stiff enough button that, like the stingray, it wouldn't engage just by sitting on a table, but at the same time the action was nice and smooth when you go to fire it. It had a CV engraved on it and was adjustable to take 18350 or 18650. Just wish I could remember what it is.

The object I was thinking of is labeled as a "Knight Mod".

Picked up a nemesis there today. I have an AW18650 battery at home ready to go, and my dripper is set up at around 1.2 ohms. How do I calculate and make sure everything is set up correctly so I don't blow my hand off when I fire it up tonight?

E
----
I x R

Ohm's Law: E is voltage, I is current, R is resistance.

To calculate amperage or current draw, you divide your voltage by your resistance. In you case, your highest voltage would be 4.2v with a battery fresh off the charger, without using a Kick. So, to calculate the current draw, the formula would be: 4.2(V)/1.2(ohms) which is 3.5 amps. When you fire the mod with that coil you will never draw more than 3.5 amps, which is well withing the current limits of your AW 18650 battery.

And taking Omh's Law a bit further, to calculate voltage when current and resistance are known values, the formula is:

E = IxR.

To calculate resistance, when voltage and current are known values, the formula is:

R = E/I

You can also get yourself an Ohm's Law calculator that will work with a smartphone that will do the work for you, that is if you have a smartphone. I know there are many on Google Play. I would think you can also get one for an iPhone, though I don't know for sure.
