Hello!

I'm finally able to post in the Canadian section, so first off hello to my fellow Canadians.

So, I'm back in the market for an E-Cig. I use to have BluCigs way back when they first launched, but lost touch with the scene since they were banned from Canada.

Now that Canada has nicotine based liquids again, I want to get back to E-Cigs and I'm looking for suggestions on a kit or part build that would give me the following features.

- Clear juice Tube (lava tube style)
- Variable voltage (I've been reading 5 is a solid target?)
- BONUS: USB chargeable option

The other day I got to try some no-name brand lava tube with a mixture the guy made himself (Vanilla, butterscotch, caramel, French tobacco and a dash of Mentol for the throat hit). It was ridiculously good. So, I'd like to get myself setup. I'm not looking to cut corners on budget, or get a total noob try-it-out kit. I loved my BluCigs back in the day, and by today's standards, they are not very good haha. So I know I'll be happy with a quality mod setup.

Thanks for any advice!

'ello and welcome,

Nicotine was always available in Canada, it's just gone a bit underground. Check out this thread; http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ic-supplier-list-via-pm-only-part-2-a-49.html.

I don't have much experience with mods, but I would suggest Ego Twists and the Kanger T2 or Vivi Nova's clearomizer to everyone. Both are good clearomizer tanks in my opinion and the twist is the cheapest variable voltage option, although it only goes up from 3.2 to 4.8V. Depending on the omhs of the atomizer/cartomizer/clearomizer you're using, you don't need to go as high as 5V in my opinion.

Just my :2c: on cheaper options that are much better than the blu, someone else can give you better advice on the lavatube or higher voltage, bigger battery capacity mods.

By clear juice tube, im guessing you mean some kind of clearomizer. There are a bunch of good ones now. Take a look at stardusts, kanger t2's, and vivi novas. My favorite right now are the vivi novas, but everyone likes different stuff, and it wont hurt to try them all eventually.

You have a ton of good choices. If the usb thing is important to you, and you don't mind getting the smaller batteries, twists great. They are not sold in kits, so you would have to piece one together yourself. If you do want something like a lavatube, i think a lambo ver. 4 lavatube kit would be good. Or maybe a smoketech vmax or zmax.

I have to recommend looking at canvape for hardware, they have free shipping on orders over 100, and a 10% off "firstorder" coupon. You would have to get liquid from somewhere else, but i think you would probably still get the most for your money that way. Shop around though, see if you can get a better deal, or maybe find a place you can get both. If the guy you mentioned makes his juice from scratch, maybe you can buy from him.

Good luck with it. Feel free to ask here or pm me if you need help putting together a parts list.

edit: deleted a bunch of irrelevant stuff.

Thanks for the kick ... responses! I might upgrade to a crazy mod like lambo or zmax later.

For now... I grabbed this:

Vision eGo Twist Stardust Ultimate Kit

I'll take a go with this, it seems to be the midway everyone is pointing at. It's Variable, has the clearomizer (though I might try the vivi novas later), usb etc.

I got the list from that thread, so I'll have to experiment with this for a while and see if I need to upgrade.

Thanks again for all the awesome advice :)

That was quick.

I didn't know companies other than joyetech made ego twists. What you ordered is different than what i was suggesting. It looks like these vision twists, have 4 voltage setting in .5v increments, compared to 9 settings in .2v increments on the joyetechs.

So, it's not as precise, but should do that trick for vv vaping. Hope you like it.

Hey all,

Just wanted to update on my first buying experience since venturing back into the world of E-Cigs.

So, as I mentioned above, I bought this kit: Vision eGo Twist Stardust Ultimate Kit

It showed up today, which was pretty damn fast considering I took the free value shipping for spending over $100. While I haven't tried nearly enough products or websites (there's so many now), I did want to give a few words on the customer service side of things. The kit came in a USPS bag, packed really well (lots of bubble wrap around each juice bottle!) and shipped to me from Ontario. So it seems like they use Ontario as a distribution point for Canada, and front out of the USA.

When I ordered my kit, I also grabbed 5 10ML bottles of E-Juice. About 3 hours after placing the order I was still browsing other vendors and researching when I realized the website said "If you want Nicotine in your juice, go to our american site."...Crap.

So I emailed their customer support and asked if it was possible to cancel the juice portion of the order, since they had no Nicotine. The actual owner of the website emailed me back (at like 1:30am!) and said not to worry, and that they just don't list the nicotine on their .com. If I wanted some, to just mention the strength in the order comments next time. They offer 0, 4, 8, 16, 24mg. I asked for 24 and he adjusted my order. Overall, I was pretty damn happy with the communication and support from that site. I'll still try others for flavour sampling, but I found the owner Sean incredibly helpful, fast to respond and overall kick-....

As for the actual unit, the reason I got it over the well known Twists is that they come in 900mAh in their base model instead of 650. Twist does have a 1000 now, but it was sold out most places I wanted to buy from and a little more expensive. This kit also came with two ready to go Stardust Clearomizers and 5 replacement heads.

The actual units look really slick (I'll try and post some photos later). They have a nice rubberized finish, all the logos are etched metal and I find the variable voltage knob easier to read at a glance over the twists since it uses an engraved red line VS a simple dot.

They came fully charged and my first day with them has been awesome. I didn't have an analogue smoke all day and don't mind one bit. Smoking in my house and office kitchen care free is also pretty bad .... It should also be noted that the name of this unit is not "Twist" it's a Vision Spinner. A small subtle logo is printed on the rubber near the voltage knob. I assume they call it a Twist on the site for SEO reasons. But based on the day one quality I've had, I feel like I got a really solid product. I'm interested in the long term with this hardware, but I have no immediate reasons to doubt they'll last me a while.

If anyone has questions about the kit I grabbed, let me know!

My opinion is....I wish I would have bought a variable voltage right from day 1. Mind you I love my 1300mah 3.7v 808 but im a huge geek and I always need to have the best and most complicated lol

EDIT

glad to hear it was a positive experience. Thats dedication to reply back at such a late hour, I like that.

Hope you enjoy the ego!

theres lots of good suppliers online in Canada too with nic juice, theres a sticky thread about it as well
