Looking for RDA RTA TC advice

Hello I am new to this forum. And looking for someone help. I have just started vaping about a year ago and have no interest in going back to the old days. My first purchase was a Kanger top box mini. During the course of the first 3 months of use it it was ok. I was introduced to building my own coils and then shortly switch to an RDA. Currently using a twisted messes 2 and love it.. what I would like to know is building A RDA or RTA for temperature control.. temperature control was one feature I loved about the Kanger. The problem with it was the coils I could buy package of coils and only 2 or 3 out of 5 would work properly. So I would like to build my own any information or links on how to it is it safe or not thank you

Just about any RDA or RTA can be used in TC.

A LOT of people have issues running a Kayfun in TC for some reason.

I would make two suggestions.

1. Use only Stainless Steel wire. This is safe to use in wattage mode or power mode. Titanium abd Nickel wire are NOT SAFE in wattage mode. Some mods tend to slip out of TC.

2. Since TC coils tend to be lower resistance than Kanthal or Nichrome it is CRITICAL you learn ohms law and battery safety. Trying to pull 30 amps out of a 20 amp battery is a recipe for disaster.

The best gauge wire i have found is 36.

The wire you get should tell you the Ohms per foot

Then go to Steam Engine. Some other person will provide a link. Tell the website the resistance of the wire, and your desired resistance, and diameter of the coil, and Steam Engine will tell you the number of wraps to make.

I think maybe you mean 26 ga. With 36 ga only 4 wraps it would be 2.72 ohms. Kinda high in anyone's book.

To add to that, I just started building with 26 ga SS316L. So far so good. I have read that SS430 might be a better choice, as it has a higher TCR. In other words, it's resistance changes more when it heats up, therefore, it is easier for your mod to track.

I use 30 gauge SS 316L, dual coil, 10 wraps each, comes to .83 ohms, or there about. Works good in my Origen Little Clone on my Wraith in TC. YMMV

I believe so. I haven't purchased from them, but they have been recommended by people here. I looked at their site and it mentions taxes for Texas and Missouri, so apparently the have stores there.

This TINY keyboard on my phone strikes again. I did mean 26 gauge not 36.

I prefer my resistance to be .8-1 ohm.
