Looking for suggestions on cartos/voltage

Hi gang,

I'm sure this question has been posted thousands of times but would like your personal recommendations as to where to "start" with variable voltage for particular cartos.

I have Boge 2.0's, Boge 3.0's coming and some 1.5 dual cartos (included with tanks from Hoosier). I thought since many of you are experienced with these on your VV's you could point me in the direction as where I should start voltage wise.....eliminate some of that trial and error

As far as the 2ohm boges, I don't usually go much over 4v. As for the 3ohm boges, the sky is the limit (or 6v). I don't know about the 1.5ohm dual coils, start low and work your way up.

I start at 3.7v for everything and just work my way up.

I'd also recommend starting low and moving up, especially with the 2 ohm cartos, you'll want to keep the voltage down on those to keep them from getting to hot or trip the limiter. With the 3 ohm it's preference I usually us those in the 5v ish range depending on the juice and type of carto.

With 1.5 ohm DC the limiter will likely come into play before you reach your preference but they should go high enough to preform well. If you like DC 2.5 ohm is also available, I'd recommend those.

You should be able to much higher with a 2.5 ohm DC. You could post and see what users are getting with 2.5 ohm dc and the LT in the LT thread, I'm sure someones tried it.

A 3.7 14500 is 4.2v off the charger, and many use 1.7 (some even use 1.5) on those for some idea. I'm running 2 ohm Boge @ 4.3v right now with some 555 - quite good IMO

I'm using my Boge 3.0 in a tank @ 5V with some juices ( higher VG) and @ 4.5-4.8V on higher PG juices . These cartos in a tank are so good that I might give away all my CE2's .

IPro= Infinity Pro ? PBusardo just posted a review of the LavaTube/VZ VV Tube Mod and he used the BuzzPro as a comparison, charting the LT's voltage limits on cartos from 1.25-4 ohm cartos up to 6 volts. You might find it interesting (39 min). here

Theoretically you should be able to hit 6.0 with a 2.5 ohm carto. This would be 2.4 amps, just below the limit...

I can verify that a DC 2.5 ohm carto will run at 6V on a Provari.
