Looking for the best "Genesis" setup for a newbie!

So, after three years of vaping, I'm ready to dive into a Genesis style system, but not sure where to start.

After a ton of research, I ordered the RSST. I heard soooo many good things about this unit, and it being newbie friendly. During all this research, I found EVERYONE has their own way to wick and coil it, loose wick, tight wick, straw wick, cotton, SS mesh, hybrids, pulse vs. per-oxidation.... and the list goes on and on and on!

I'm wanting to stay around 1-1.5 ohms, and have a great wick, without to much Genny tilt, what's the best setup you guys have found?

I'm not opposed to extra work, if that's what it takes to get it RIGHT!

I guess I should have included my setups.

I have a VMAX VV and I have an ELA mech coming. I'll be using the ELA most of the time.

I just ordered my first one as well, also an RSST.

I too have watched his setup, and it looked easy and vaped great!

i bought a genesis tank and set it up perfectly but with a VV/VW mod i didn't see much difference with it and my protanks (i can't go below 1.4ohms). It might be better with a sub ohm coil and mechanical mod.

He didn't say/show how he checks his coils to make sure they are firing evenly, but I guess after you prime the wick, it's just like all the other setups? I'll try to find "Dave's" video he was talking about.

An RSST with 1.7 ohm coil on 500 mesh is a great setup. Once you get used to the mesh, look into the SS rope wick setup. It will be worth it.

The RSST came in today and I tried building it like Phil showed. I didn't have any problems, but mine came out to .6 ohm and Phil's was .9
At least that's what my Tesla said - that's the only thing I have to check ohms.

My new mech that I got for it doesn't arrive until Friday so I tried using what I have on-hand. It wouldn't fire on my silver bullet and I noticed the battery was warm, so I used my Reo Grand. I couldn't find a 510 extender, so I used a gooseneck. Ugly setup - but it works!

It's a nice thick warm vape, but I swear it tastes just a tiny bit burnt.

Did you open the air hole? Also... dont forget the Genny tilt!

if you have problems with coil wrapping theres a guy on ebay sellling premade preoxidized prewrapped coil and mesh. i bought 2 to help me start out, used it as a model and now im doing it myself.. good for a newbie like me.
