And gaining knowledge! I am also new here but I have lurked for awhile so I think I have a pretty good grasp on the terms and the different products available. About me: my name is Wayne and my username "CreatvDigitl" comes from my interest in digital photography. I am a Quality Assurance manager for a factory that sells hydraulic cylinders and fluid power components as my full time job but I also stay pretty busy with my photography small business/hobby. How I got here: I clicked on a link to try a free sample of an e-cig from "Smoking Everywhere". My venture actually started about the first part of November and I had to pay $9.95 shipping that I paid with my credit card. They actually refunded my payment and cancelled my order. I called them and ordered again and the same thing happened. After that is when I started doing research and found this forum. So now I see multitudes of suppliers that are much cheaper and recommended from real people on this site. I feel real good about that. Now my biggest concern is that my credit card is on record with "Smoking Everywhere" and I have no intention on trying to deal with them again. I have taken my name off their e-mail mailing list. Is there anything else I might need to do? Looking forward to your comments and suggestions.

Welcome,
I would go for the Joye 510 kit from Cignot.com, that's where I started.
I love it. I got the $65 kit with menthol fluids and I use the Joye Menthol PG liquid from there. I was smoking Camel Crush's (crushed for menthol) for over a year and other cigs on and off before them. Me and my fiance have been smoke free for two months now. I tried a Camel Crush about a week ago and couldn't even smoke it, it was gross.
I love vaping much better now.
Hope you find something good.

Welcome Wayne.:) You will find many helpful people on this forum. They are the best, to say the least. You will get many recommendations because there are so many good e-cigs out there and everyone has their favorite. And a lot of these folks have experience with many different models so their input is based on personal knowledge.
As far as myself, well, I like the 2 piece model made by Vapor4Life called the vapor king. It's pretty simple to use, has good vapor production and good throat hit as well. There is a really informative guide you should read.

LOTS of good information in there.
And there will be people along soon enough to get you started on your way. :D

I forgot to mention, I did order a 510 starter kit and 10ml of fluid. As soon as I got it, I ordered another starter kit for my wife and we have 50ml of fluid coming. So after we get the second order we will be able to start knowing what strength of liquid we need and how much we will need to maintain. The first 10ml bottle was 24mg strength and the 50ml bottle that I ordered now is 18mg. I think it will be good to start trying different flavors also. Thank you guys for the welcome!

WOW! That is a lot of juice of all one flavor. You are brave!!!!!!!!
I placed an order of smaller bottles so I could try a bunch of different flavors.
Which flavors did you order?

If you don't mind all the fiddling with the atomizers and changing all the stuff to try different flavors then the 3-piece 510 is alright.

Those strengths you ordered are definitely a good starting point to finding your sweet spot.

The first 10ml bottle was the Camel flavor and the 50ml bottle is Marlboro so I am not thinking I can be to wrong to go that route just starting out. When we start trying other flavors besides tobacco I am sure we will not order big quantities to start out with them. Thank you for your quick replies. I think I am going to like this place!

I would contact your credit card company and find a way to make sure that charges don't go through/are never authorized from Smoking Everywhere again. If something does show up on your statement, chargeback. SE apparently is a rather unsavory dealer.

Sounds like you've been reading already - so, I guess I'll just say welcome!

(As you've noticed, there are tons of opinions in perfect agreement ;) about the best model, juice, vendor, and HV mod...lol. It's a search for each individual.)

Probably 90% of the time when I want to buy something from the internet I will do the research. I have read the 6 step guide that is a sticky in this forum, I have watched a lot of videos from GrimGreen, Moobyghost, Ritalee, and others that are on this forum. I do feel very fortunate that I am not stuck with a device that I would probably not like and I appreciate your advise, Madame to go to the credit card company. I actually do feel now that I have made a pretty well educated purchase thanks to everyone here.

Creat,

SE and these issues have been a black mark on the report card... They have definately burned way too many folks here... and out of a thread from a while back!!

Three individuals were discussing situations they had with both the recurring charge and then dropped charge like you were having. A few others had large sums charged on their cards when they were told that they were to receive the unit free of charge, pay for any extras they ordered, and all they had to do was pay shipping. When they attempted to receive refunds.. they were told that they had to fill out a form via internet, return the merchandise, and then, once the company received their products back.. the card would be reimbursed. Yet, the card was never reimbursed.

They spoke to an attorney, who, inturn, advised them to contact their financial institution that issued the card and either report suspicion of fraudulent activity or report the card stolen. The ultimate concern here is to make it imparative that the current card, account, and activity relative to the charges imposed by SE be documented for your safety. Also, the financial institution usually freezes those charges on your account, deactivates the associated account that you have, issues a whole new account for you, and re-issues you a charge/debit card with the new account number.
This is the best method to protect you .. and make sure that you attach SE as a non-authorized credit originator .. Reason being, this will stop a lot of potential market scams for you but not all. SE operates under several different company names and market brands.. some will attach SE as affiliate financial end provider during a credit search should you try to make a purchase with that card. This will throw a red flag your way and not allow you to make the purchase... Therego, you have just saved yourself the hassle of SE piggy backing you again. Like I said, this type of protection works a great deal of the time... but not all companies owned by SE use them for end-term financing solutions, as they stand independant and therefore, that red flag will not go up.

I would say the best shopping advice to give you is to refer to the managerie of device reviews in the forum, refer to the instructional videos, and in the lower right corner pop-up menu, you will find forum associated vendors in the lower part of the listing. These vendors are what I would consider the safe haven because most of us have dealt with them before and as always, never hurts to get an idea by researching a few of the vendors then asking questions about service and reliability for them on the forum.

Anyway, my $0.02 worth, take it for what it is worth.

Tom
