RHP ideally I'd be inclined to run with the VV Reo but right now I'm just trying to figure out the whole bottom fed concept. I know that ill get a good vape with a 1.5 OHM bridgless on the mechanical version no doubt. So I'm leaning hard to just getting the mechanical to start. If I run into many problems with it as far as my vapor production and heat ill kick it. This is just my thought process is all. You guys are the best though a lot of great insight in this forum. I'm trying to read through all this stuff and retain as much as possible lol.

I own a Provari (que bad guy theme music here) and I use the Panasonic with the nipple. Do I need flat tops?

Sorry to be the bearer of a bad news, but I believe Panasonics are too long, you may need IMR or MNKE batteries. IMRs (both EFest and AW) are 65mm long, and most protected batteries are 68 to 70mm long.

That was exactly my mind process. I got the Grand because of the mechanical simplicity knowing I can just kick it if I felt the need for it (which I did when I realized how inept I was at building consistent ohm coils). If you're worried about battery life if you kick your grand, I'm honestly getting just as much vape time with a kick+18490 than I got with an 18650 before feeling like I needed a fresh one.

And welcome to REOville!

PS you're getting both eventually, trust me

Panasonics in a Grand, spring is not compressed too much. That is what you want to watch for with a battery. A compressed spring will NOT collapse in case of a short. Always allow room for the safety protection a spring gives. AW IMR fit perfect and are the recommended battery.

Karen, that's pretty interesting. The panasonic 18650 that I have (also grey), won't even fit into my Grand, no matter how compressed the spring is. :)

From what I am understanding there are different Panasonic 18650 batteries. Some are longer. I do not have any so just going by what I have seen on here. Wish there was a list of Panasonic 18650's with the numbers and actual lengths.

I appreciate the info. What batteries do you suggest? You guys are awesome. I want to join the club! Lol

Hi inseen...I'm also from Mi. I just want to welcome you in advance( cuz you WILL be getting a Reo...as soon as anyone starts reading and learning about them it's inevitable!)

And I also want to say that this place is not really a club...it becomes a home-on-line!And the folks here start to feel like family!

I have some grey Panasonics (CGR18650CH) and they fit fine and the spring seems to still have a fair amount of play. They are 6.5 centimeters. I also have some Orbtronic PD 29's that are about a mm longer and fit well also. How long are your Panasonics, Commie?

The plot thickens.

Mine are 70mm with the button top. Also grey, also CGR18650CH. I had trouble believing it, so I double checked. Mine are pretty old though, I think I got them in September/October. Maybe Panasonic came to their senses since then

Get the orbtronic 2900 mAh 18650s - rebadged panasonics, pdib rates. He's not kidding - 12 hours of use (all day for me) easy!
