Hey guys,

I've been machining and building my own tank systems for use with carto's, but I'd like to get into the rebuildable atomizer world, and I'm just trying to get some insight and some idea's on what the best/easiest rebuildable atomizer/tank system might be and if any of you guys mind helping me out in that regard.

If you guys could shoot some idea's my way and possibly give me some links and information on this, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,
Chris

The new vivi nova from vision has heads that can be easily rebuilt. It also has a 510 connection in the tank so you can play with other attys in the tank. Best part is it is only $15 so you can try rebuildable attys cheap.

here is a video of it including how to rebuild the heads.

There's always the GG line of rebuildables (iAtty, UFS, Odysseus and, now, Penelope). Well machined, buttery smooth threading, solid stainless steel components (minus the ceramic cup that houses the coil) and cool juice control system to control the wicking of juice. Oh yes, it's meant for silica wicks (3mm or larger) though some folks have experimented with a hybrid wick comprised of stainless steel mesh surrounding the portion of the wick that in housed within the ceramic - you wrap your coil around the mesh, instead of directly on the wick, like you would a pure mesh (genesis-style) rebuildable. Folks who do this claim improved flavor and reduced chances of prematurely burning the wick. I use the Penelope with two 3mm wicks and 32 gauge kanthal a-1 for resistsnce wire (silver wire for the non-resistant wire legs) and love it. Tank holds 2ml and it uses every single drop. Sold exclusively in the US through cloudsofvapor.com (origin is Greece). Price is ~$120.

Kind of did the fanboy thing a bit too heavy, huh? :) J

ust ordered a Phoenix rebuildable from Mountain Oak Vapors (mountainoakvapors.com) to see how it works as I'm a dripper at heart and that thing holds about 15+ drops of juice if I'm not mistaken.

And yes, the Penelope is easy to rebuild after you do it once. Seems overwhelming at first, but it's pretty obvious (i think) what goes where. Looks good on anything from an Ego/KGO to a Provari. Odysseus has a ton of parts, but the concept is the same. Bigger and heavier than the Penelope, though, so looks best on a big tube mod. Kir Fanis (via PM on ECF or limited runs on avidvaper.com) sells clear tanks for the Oddyseus and Penelope so that you can see your juice.

Yes but the Phoenix is good for any battery for that matter. Just make a coil that doesn't destroy the battery (all LavaTubes seem to have short-circuit/high current protection making them less susceptible to damage).

Thanks johnlacie! I'm just about to buy my Phoenix tomorrow. Any suggestions as to how many rounds of kanthal I'll do to have a balance TH and vapor?
