Hey everyone, like the title says I'm looking to get a TC mod.

I've got $30 of credit on FT, but only really saw the ZERO Modz TC mod(Any good?) on there.

I'd like to spend $100 or less and preferably get something that is relatively solid.

What do you recommend? I'd like to get the best for the money!

Thanks!

Current daily driver is a Astro Clone mech mod, and the last VV/VW mod I had was a Vamo v3 over a year ago.

Read the forum reviews on FT. If you're thinking about the Zero Mod /w TC for $59.81 then I would say give it a go. If you can wait the IPV D2 might be a better choice. I personally like the C-frame mods like the Zero. At the moment I own the HCigar VT 40 (C-Frame), but it runs about $170.00 on GearBest.

I'll take what I said about the smok temp performance back. I just watched another review (TVC's) and turns out it's not performing as well as the expensive chips apparently based on his opinion. Sorry if I misled anyone. I would wait for Pbusardo's review before buying this at all.

Edit: Yes istick TC 40 is good. 40 W is enough power for temp control and it can be made to work with Titanium wire even though it doesn't have a titanium mode. If you plan to use titanium that is.

Should of mentioned earlier, I'd like a mod with a 18650 slot not something with a perm battery. I think I'm leaning towards the Segelei 75w, any other suggestions that fit the 18650 requirement?

Single replaceable 18650 battery narrows your option considerably. IPV D2, Sigelei 75, or the Zero Modz. I agree with you, as it's nice to be able to swap out the battery as need be. Instead of having to wait on a device while it recharges its internal battery. What do you do with a device when its internal battery dies? Unless you're a handyman and can change the battery out yourself it probably goes in the rubbish. And yes some will argue it can be replaced by the manufacturer but at a cost hardly worth it.

Since I only paid $27.75 for my TC IStick, I am not too worried about when the battery dies. I will just buy another one. I have 3 IStick 20's from last fall that are still working.

I have several TC mods, but the smallest - and cheapest one - is the Istick 40w. It's a great little mod, and for that price I have absolutely no complaints. I do think it's quite a good way for people to try TC without a bigger investment. But if you don't want a fixed battery, you might wait a week for the D2 that's coming out - also inexpensive.

But you say it yourself, its always more than one you need. If your battery is dead you need a back up while its charging. Effectively doubling the price. I have a Vamo still going strong after 1 1/2 years and I imagine it will last another couple of years or longer...because all I have to do is swap out the battery.

You got me there. I have a bad case of Shinyitis and juice ADHD. I like having many flavors in multiple tanks on devices ready to vape at a moments notice. That is mainly why I own multiple devices, not because I am afraid a battery will die. It's a case of different vaping styles. For someone who vapes the same flavor all day or doesn't mind changing tanks all day long, I agree that one or two devices with removable batteries would be the way to go.

Well you are probably more organized than myself. I know with an internal battery I would get out the door and realize that my battery won't cut it for the day. As it is I always keep a couple of fully charged spare batteries in my briefcase just for this type of situation. And I certainly understand your fondness for the hobby :)

My first two TC mods were the rDNA40 and the SX Mini M Class.....so I did it the other way around. Bought the most expensive TC mods first......so now anything with TC is a bargain by comparison.
