Spooky, ...Super_X most likely has mastered using the Odin. Believe I would ask him about building the Odin

I can give you links on where to buy the KGD, and Kanthal wire. A box of KGD and a 250ft roll of Kanthal will last you for A LONG, LONG time.

1) Koh Gen Do (KGD) cotton

2) Kanthal wire (tick the box on the left for the wire guage you want)

So duh time again, what wire and wick material for the incoming Odin? SO much controversy and advice out there I'm overwhelmed.

I use 29 ga Kanthal A1 wrapped around a 1/16" rod 6 times to produce an tensioned micro coil. The coil is 1 ohm. I mount two of those and it nets 1 ohm. I get my wire from Temco and my cotton from Koh Gen Do cosmetics website or sephora.

Don't be overwhelmed. It's very easy. Even I can do it.

Oh, and one other thing - with big air intakes like on the Odin, you wanna consider a wide bore drip tip. The "router" by the same company that makes the Odin is the best I've ever used. That's why I have 4 mods, 4 Odins and 4 routers.

My most recent coil--made today using the gizmo with nut/bolt/washer setup - had a glowing leg (approx half of one leg and the half glowing is nearest the coil).

That sounds unusual to me Sloth, also you've had some coil problems of late, maybe you got some bad wire there? No kinks or any visual funkiness with the wire? Might be worth doing a Temco order to be sure of good quality wire, unless you're already using Temco.

...quality is not something I had thought about brother. I got this spool of 100ft 28ga kanthal from eBay. 99.9% positive feedback on the seller but not sure who it is.

I am wondering now, because honestly, I think my coils are pretty spot on...unless the tension during mounting it isn't even or something. mounting is definitely the hardest for me

Okay so it sounds easy when you say it. No doubt in my mind I can do it once I get all of the "stuff" which is quite a process.

I got impatient so before I clean it up and send it to Rob to mill it down to a LP I stuck a HH.357 on top along with a drip tip just to play around (after some amount of video watching). Okay this has possibilities. The Nicoticket deep steep Strawnilla? Flavor is right there already and I've not even figured out the thing. Vapor is warm, strawberry flavor RIGHT there rather than in the background. Draw seems airier than I expected and the flavor definitely have more of a mouth feel to it.

So what if I just went and bought one of the pink LPs and kept this one, is there a decent RBA I can get for the REO Grand (not LP) that I already have?

Yes, the "regular" Reomizer 2.0 works just fine on a standard grand, I have 4 (in use, with 2 spares).

Quick question about that: how far down should my rm2 go on my standard grand? There's about a 2-3mm gap on mine and I was wondering if I should screw it all the way and possibly squash the o-ring. After years with an old style atty, I learned that snug and firing was good enough.

Nope, snug is plenty far down enough. I place an oring around the base of the atty to hide the brass that shows. You're absolutely right, snug is plenty tight enough, overtightening can crush the insulator.
