Okay, I have 'unflavored 50/50 18mg e liquid'. I would like to just add flavor and vape... Can I? If so, how much flavoring do I add to a 15ml bottle? Thanks in advance :) Btw, I just started using an rba for dripping and I normally vape 24mg LR carto tanks and dripping 24 mg so far is toooooo much. I think because im still very much in trial/error side of rba's my intake is higher than normal so for now drippibg is for fun so I think vaping at a lower mg is in my best interest. Point of saying all that is that im ok with the flavoring diluting my unflavored 18mg some...

Different flavorings have different percentages. There is no one amount to rule them all. You just need to see what the vender flavor recommendations are and start with the minimum recommended and work up until you find a flavor point that works for you.

Yes you can. The final will not be 50/50 PG/VG at 18mg/ml because you'll be adding ml's and probably using PG based flavorings which will bump up the PG.

If so, how much flavoring do I add to a 15ml bottle?
As noted so well above, it is completely dependent on your sense of taste, the manufacturer of the flavoring and the specific flavoring. My recipes range from 0.35% to 35% total flavoring.

...so for now drippibg is for fun...
I'm a confirmed, won't bother with anything else, dripper. Have been for years. So have at it and enjoy.

Oh my, so far im understanding it really isn't so simple, lol... Thanks for input... I was looking at
TFA circus cotton candy and TFA grape candy. I love watermelon (jolly rancher type, any suggestions?)
Seems I should do some reading... Anyine have links to threads that might point me in the right direction? :)
Rowdy-I originally got unflavored for use when im having issues with any or all my juices start tasting muted due to too much vaping or as some call it 'vapor tounge' because I heard it has a sweet taste to it and is pleasant to vape as is... However, it sits unopened so far...

One thing about vaping I know for sure is you have choices, lots of em... Where to start? Yikes, this is overwhelming... I like candy flavors, fruity flavors too. I like em strong. I haven't researched much in the different flavoribgs or makers of flavorings. Again, very overwhelmed by so much info... And it seems juices I loved in the beginning don't do it for me now as well as ines I did not care for before are tolerablebor even delicious now, lol. Taste is forever changing... Hard to keep up. Now that ive run out of new delivery systems to try I figure I will start trying different ways to tinker. I just prefer not to get into mixing starting with straight nic and all that comes with that...
It will depend on whose flavor you use. TFA, FW, FA, CA, etc..... They all differ. It also depends on how strong you like your flavors. Have any idea who you'd like to use?

Just looked at MBV recommendations and its broad. 15% - 40% so, I would start with low % and go up from there? Is there a handy calculator you all use out here in cyberbspace?

I really like the ejuice Me Up calculator. I think it's Windows only, but it's free and comes with a bunch of recipes to try and has a handy calculator built in for mixing down your nic base to something reasonable.

For an online solution, the calculators at Do It Yourself E-Liquid (E-Juice) Recipe Mixing Station! work good.

Some people can get by with as little as 2-3% flavoring (depending on the source of) and then, there are flavor whores that need as high as 20%+. We all have different taste buds- with different sensitivity to flavors- It's trail and error---------Make small 5ml batches until you know you enjoy the recipe.

You guys are amazing, thanks so much...

Now, anyone have any links in ECF THREADS they want to share that will help me get a good bit of diy info- not so interested in bare bone basics because for now I wont be doing anything that requires a bunch of ingredients-espessially straight nicotine. Small apartment and children at home so I don't have the space just yet :)

You guys are so helpful, again I appreciate it :)

Here you go.

Read my blogs before getting started

E-Cigarette Forum - dannyv45 - Blogs

then read hoosier's blogs.

then read the stickies at the top of the page.

this will explain a lot of the how's and why's.

The only other thing I might suggest is to find your preferred blend of PG to VG and maybe invest in a bottle of each, then buy your nic liquid in a 100% PG or VG. This will allow you to better control the ratio of PG:VG. For example, I like my juices more on the VG side of things. If I am using PG based flavors at 10% I know that my juice is going to be at least 90/10 or 9:1. Since 90% VG is very thick I usually go with 75% VG and 25% PG, sometimes 70/30. So what I end up with is 75% plain VG, 10% flavors PG, and 15% plain VG. If you use a higher nicotine, VG based nic liquid you make up part, if not all of the 15% difference in VG with your nic liquid. You may need to add a little more PG to the mix to get your ratio right, that is why you need the unflavored PG.

As always, your mileage may vary.

i'm looking to try this diy deal as simply as possible as well. so correct me if i'm wrong, but i could just get 12mg/ml nic base in 70/30 premade and just add flavor?

Not that simple. The flavoring counts towards the total content so if you want to vape 12mg and add 20% flavor you've diluted your Nicotine by 2.4mg thus the finished mix is 9.6mg. You need to compensate the base nicotine by 2.4mg thus it needs to be 14.4mg when figuring in 20% of flavoring added. Now 20% is just a random total flavor example that I picked and flavor percentages vari from flavor to flavor and mix to mix

Here's some light reading for ya

Thats what I understand, but let's wait until someone with experience chimes in :) I have 50/50 24 mg unflavored- is that what people refer to as a nic base? Do you know?
