Looks like fasttech has a dna40 clone

For $50 I'm very tempted. Not so sure that I like the idea of being a guinea pig. My dna 30 clone has treated me very well but it seems like I dropped it one too many times and stripped out a thread in the 510 connection.

Yes fasttech has a few different versions, unfortunately not enough feedback on the chips for me to pull the trigger.

I think I am done with Chinese made mods and boards. Too much inaccuracy and inconsistency. I'll pay more to have something that lasts and will be reliable. I'm sure these will sell like crazy though.

Several people have gotten those DNA40 clones so far, and have been reasonably satisfied with them in regards to actually doing temperature control and overall regulation, though apparently they've cloned some of the real Evolv DNA40 problems as well.

As for boxes, China has had about a year to play around with Hana box clones, so the enclosure and switches are usually of decent quality as well.

510 connectors can still be an issue on the clones, but a replacement high quality Fat Daddy or Varitube floating 510 that'll fit in a Hana clone box will only cost you about $6.00 shipped, about a penny's worth of solder, and less than an hour of your time.

I'm just so bad a soldering. My biggest issue was always the 510 connector.

I do agree, I love those hana clone boxes.

With both Fat Daddy Vapes' and Varitube's latest designs, it's dead simple to solder, or rather torch the positive lead.



And both come with negative connection rings to make that part easier as well.

Apparently they are a different chips, no idea which is better and if any work properly.

Yea....the $61.77 one also has a fabric covered USB cable and a sliver of unknown resistance wire. You are very right about the lack of product description. They could be two different manufacturers or just two different runs. One even has clear plastic over the electronics and the other opaque plastic. The numbers are FT marking the pictures. In researching my vapor flask DNA40 clone, it was pointed out to me how many of the Chinese retailers and distributors were using the same picture of a real vapor flask. LOL

lbrasi, their is nothing in the product description that would indicate they use different boards. To me it is like if you are feeling in a charitable mood, buy the higher priced one.
