Lord by Gus mods​

The Lord is a complete mechanical telescopic mod made ​​by 304 stainless steel.

It consists of a telescopic body - Conduit - the power button and the head thread.
In the above - threaded cap includes air regulator for evaporators having the air hole in the bottom.

Button

The button is made ​​of brass as the activation screw.
Also pressing is soft without someone puts power and never makes mistakes to taps.
No gas escape hole but includes safety stop activating the battery built into the button.
Lockable swivel easily that a ring is with bearings and sliding the coils sweets.

Body

The body is composed of two tubes one is inside the other and develops fully capable of
telescoping to fit all sizes of batteries 18350-18490/500-18650

It takes the kick by Evolv with batteries 18350 and 18500, not 18650 batteries.

Appearance

Its main feature is the lineage of the body that is laser etched and not type.
Small squares horizontally and vertically etched create a mesh-like badge -colored black on silver body in combination with the two brass rings golden hue give a beautiful stylistic touch.
Threaded stainless steel adjustable pole contact from the inner side with washer made ​​of brass. So fit any 510 threaded atomizer tangent on the mod.

That's nice. Loving the Gus mods. What's the deal with the ball bearing, by the way? Is it for the lock ring, or does it affect the feel and function of the button in any way? I got the older kind without any such thing.

Gentle touch of a finger and impeccable restoration, but can bump into current Ampere.
The important ? As you work the first day and will continue in the next years and this
because the current no longer selects a new direction which has no relation to the spring.

In measurements made with resistance 0.2 Ohm and current to 16 Ampere really was right

New design with brass cap anymore while the rosette remains of stainless steel.
Also the high bearing construction is responsible for the smooth movement of the button
with effective passage of current.

The manufacturer is the same and turner with experience in many mod.
Without knowing how it is engraved this plan, i think it has much work to do.
Not be plain tube like most mechanical.

I'm wondering if that square center pin is actually a 5 amp fuse (same as the one Scott reviewed). Unfortunately I would breach that limit with most of my builds; but I imagine it could be swapped out pretty easily.

That grid pattern certainly is striking.

I'm wondering if that square center pin is actually a 5 amp fuse (same as the one Scott reviewed). Unfortunately I would breach that limit with most of my builds; but I imagine it could be swapped out pretty easily.

That grid pattern certainly is striking.

The had to pull the fuse and replace it with a Nemesis positive contact pin when jkuro tested it. Did very well though... .02v drop with 1.04Ω load, the Neme pin and 18650. You'll have to read the text to find out why... I don't recall.

On my older Gus, that didn't have this fuse thingy, I replaced the positive pin with a dremeled down #5 brass screw. To fit an 18350, I scavenger a nut from a crappy Grand Vapor clone I had. Perfect fit, and makes a decent telescopic pin. You could also just cut two brass screws of different lengths. Or, use the longer one if you don't mind the added mod length in 18490+ configurations.

I think, considering it wasn't jkuro's mech... he just tossed in what he had handy that would fit.

It's pretty impressive really... the number of mechs he's tested, and how many he's being sent now that he's become the established "unofficial calivapers mech tester".

Of course, it's not really representative of all mechs produced within a model, but still, they are a random single sample. You have to wonder if the owner's did a bit of work to them... just to make sure they did well, or if they were - "as new" when they were delivered to jkuro. ;-)

Domo vapor sells an adjustable pin for the paps that works perfectly on the Gus cap. I ordered the core with the old hot spring cap so I could swap it because I didn't want the fuse.

I have heard the pin for the GP Paps 2.5 fits, but I happened to have a M5 (not #5) brass screw and a dremel, so I went for the quicker route. Good to know I would need the older style cap if I was to get another Gus. Been contemplating it, but is still on the fence.

That voltage drop chart is interesting. Confirms my experience with Efest 18350s performing noticeably worse than the AWs. Nice to see some numbers on it.

Been there more than once with the machine screw. They are handy little buggers, that's for sure!
Any of the Gus mods listed with "whs" have the fuse in the cap. I'm not sure if the paps pin will work in them or not, but I knew for sure that the older style caps would take it no problem.
I have to say that I have been waiting for a Gus since I started vaping, and now that I own one I will definitely get another. Maybe another after that lol.

The price is 175 $, not expensive, also the mod is beautiful with excellent quality, also we have a saying in Greece on appetite pumpkin
