And ya'll do know that goats milk is good for folks with ulcers and goats milk soap is great for your skin, right? :glare:

There's no lactose in Goat's milk. So anyone can drink it.
Feta cheese is lovely on just about everything.
Chevre is the baby angel of cheeses

The restaurant I worked at in the Hudson Valley, we would bring a whole goat in from time to time, it would hang (dry age) in the walk-in, head down little tongue sticking out of the corner of it's mouth. Man the rillettes we made with those goaties! Yum! :)

Scared the crap out of me sometimes when I would forget it was hanging in there fright.gif

love goat cheese

now that we have land, I'll be begging pretty please to get some goats and chickens. sure, they're creepy.. but useful!

I live in the city and had chickens! I loved my henny pennies! I had roughly 35 hens, all with names and 2 roosters. Loved them and the eggs too! That was the only time in my life that I have ever been cruel to a dog. Here, in the city limits, dogs are to be contained in your yard. We had "neighbors", and that's not what I called them to allow their dogs to run free. Their 2 dogs dug under my chicken fence and killed 4 of my hens. My ex shot one dog and I got the other. The neighbors threatened to sue us for the loss of their dogs. We told them to go ahead that we would counter sue, not only for the loss of the hens but for the damages to the fence. Then the city would get them for not having their dogs contained. We never heard from the low lifes again! Lol

unfortunately it's in their nature.. animals and neighbors!

we'll need a totally enclosed area for the chickens.. and the goats- lots of wild things in the woods out back!

Oh, we had the usual problems with possums and raccoons. We also had snakes that would come and eat the eggs. Until the met with the golf balls! Lol
