not sure what to tell you I have 2 kayfun`s 1 clone and 1 real deal, first time used 32g and cotton, found wire was to thin didn`t like the performance. Changed to 30ga and silica and didn`t have a problem works great. I use a mini screwdriver to wrap the coil take it off, heat and compress the coil, then put it back on the sd to aid in placement and ease of attaching to the post, after which slide the sd out after you line your coil over the air hole. Cotton your silica is just personal both work silica is more heat resistant and cotton is easier to replace without doing anything to the coil. Good luck and happy vaping. Once you get it right you`ll love your kayfun they work well.

You don't even want to know about my first attempt at making a coil. The air got very blue around here.
In no time at all you will be thiking this is to easy ... why didn't I do it this way to start with.

My only problem with wrapping coils is that a coil will last so long that I forget what ga. wire I used, or how many wraps. I made the coil that is in my KF in Feburary, and it still performs like the day I did the build.

Wrapping coils is easy as pie once you know what to do.

YouTube is your friend! Just search for the device you are using - there should be dozens of how-to vids that show you step by step exactly how to do it right. Following someone's visuals makes it all so easy.

Here is the video that made it all hit home for me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XjH8lFurPk

Oh, and get yourself some 28 gauge as mentioned earlier in this thread :) Happy coiling!
