I've actually gained weight when I first quit smoking cold turkey. At work they put the smoke shack at least about 75 yards from the door plus I worked on the 3rd floor. I had quite a workout every day making my way down there 6 or 7 times a day that ended when I quit. At least ten pounds went on in a month. I started smoking again and dropped the weight. Now I smoke at work and vape everywhere else and my weight has been pretty stable. Changing ones routine can have unexpected results I guess.

I lost a few pounds when I started, but quickly gained it all back and then some once my metabolism slowed down after I kicked the cigs. I suspect that vaping my sweets instead of eating them helped me maintain a reasonable weight throughout my arduous quitting period.

Worked out quite well, as I was a bit underweight to begin with.

I've lost about 30 lbs. my wife 12. it's great. I need to lose about 30 or 40 more, and I'm sure I will. I vape in place of snacking. My biggest cigarette thing was when I would drink. So I'm leary of drinking, don't think I'd want an analog, but not going to press my luck for a little while. Since quitting we started taking walks, can make it farther than the mail box and back with out needing a rest and lighting up.

just do the same journey to vape and probelm solved lol. smokers get 6 or 7 smoke breaks, vapers should get 6 or 7 vape breaks. thats how I solved my probelm like you. I enjoyed going outside for a smoke break to kill 5 mintues so decided id be nice and not vape inside even though I can if I want and still get my 5 mintues breaks and the journey down 3 floors to get there lol. :):):)

I had the same dilemma. After a year, I'm pretty safe as I've had quite a few drinks with no bakky... :) You'll be able to do it, but not before you are comfortable.
