I'm actually pretty happy with both, but will say that the .5 seemed to take longer to fully break in / come into its own than the .25 did.

Also worth saying that I did adjust the wattages in EScribe for both pods. Also renamed the DTL and MTL to .25 and .5 in the tool since for the life of me I could never remember which they called what, lol.

I just filled a .25 pod and all I can say is wow. Much better vape and found a sweet spot in the middle range so locked it in with the replay feature. Liked it so much I just ordered the gold carbon fiber one from MFS with the 20% off coupon.

Mine came over the weekend and I like it. Got the silver/carbon fiber one. Been using the .5 pod right now and have had a satisfying vape in the middle power setting. My one complaint is the micro usb cable that came with the device is not for transferring data, it is just a charge cable. Was no big deal as I had many data cables lying around but for the money and the fact that it is a dna device, they should have sent the proper cable. Other than that, no complaints.
I didn't know the USB cable was just charge only. I don't normally use the cables that come with devices since they tend to be real short anyway. And I have tons of other USB cables anyway. But you are right, they should have come with a data cable.

Yeah I thought about getting another one, but I already have 4 of them now. And if I got anymore, I would get the other four to have a complete set. But I really don't need anymore than 4 really.

And reading other comments where I can find them. I am starting to see a trend with 0.5Ω pods. And some are having short pod life like just 5 refills. I had that one burn up at 4 refills, but I thought it was just the juice. So now I am focusing on playing around with them more and I am noticing that they are not wicking too well. The most refills I have on a 0.5Ω pod is only 4. So I am going to try to use them more and see what happens.

For me it was not a taste thing. I vape pretty basic DIY tobaccos with one flavor and a TA for the most part. For me, the .25 provided a more satisfying vape in terms of heat, TH, and vapor. I find the middle setting to hit my sweet spot. It was not bad with the .5 but was nothing spectacular either. I know it can be adjusted in Escribe but when I messed around with the settings, I did not like the results so reset the device to the factory settings. Like anything, it comes down to personal preference I guess.

It really was not a huge issue but I was frustrated as my device was not being read in escribe. I then went to their forum and seen someone else had an issue and tried another cable. Oddly enough the cable I used was from a Modified device which worked. I have other Lost Vape mods (2 Therions and a Triade) and never had that problem which is why it didn't register in my head to try another cable.

I'm just trying to catch you. haha...But seriously, I like the device so another is good just to have one charged at all times. At 20% off, it was a no brainer for me.

Speaking about tobacco flavors Vicman. I tried one when I first started vaping and it was awful (Hangsen USA Mix). Never touched another tobacco juice since then. Until recently I tried some Blu Gold Leaf. And gee, that wasn't bad at all. And I tried it in a new Orion pod and it was awful. But I think the pod had to break in first and then it would probably taste good I bet.

Anyway if you ever tried Gold Leaf and if so, know anything that tastes close to it? I refuse to buy from Blu (they are a tobacco company for one) and they want like 89¢ per ml. It's good, but not 89¢ good.

I haven't used tobacco flavors in quite some time, but Halo had a few good ones back when I did. Always had really good luck with almost any of their liquids being gentle on coils as well. I've been the DIY route for years now though, but they were really consistent and I doubt anything has changed for the worse.

brewbear... I loved MBV Maui Sunrise and they discontinued it over 3 years ago. They brought it back? When? I still have 1 or 2 120ml bottles of it in the juice frig. It doesn't smell great anymore. But previously it tasted fabulous, but it was a total coil gunker (that one was clear too). Vaping it any higher than 370°F, it would totally encase a fresh coil in a solid black rock hard tomb in 2 minutes. :(

Jimmirehman, so what do you call lousy? It seems like the 0.25Ω last about 3ml worth and the 0.5Ω about 4.5ml worth on the lowest settings.
My minifit dances circles around it and it only has a 450mah battery I think, but it just dawned on me that the minifit has 1.6 ohm coils and the Orion has the .25 ohm coil, so that’s probably why I’m a little salty lol. I wish LV would release a 1.x ohm pod for it

this is my worry. I read somewhere around here that lost vape only makes a certain number of a product and that’s it. This could be very bad if they stop making pods. I’m starting to wonder about whether the pods can be rewicked or not.
If they made the decision to enter the POD world, they will have to continue producing pods, which makes sense since its easy money, they will sell more pod 2-packs than they will their entire line of mods

Amen to that....you know they'll make much more on multiple $4.00 mostly plastic pods per user than a well made DNA mod at around $50 for a single item. And like anything else, they'll continue to drive down production cost on the pods when producing them in large numbers. Similar to the low cost printers with expensive ink cartridges they continue to sell you for long after the initial sale - that's where the money is.

They have it again, in either nic or zero nic. They are running a sale on it (and a few others) today only.

They may have changed something, it used to be a pale yellow, now it is clear.
A Second edit, I usually dilute it 1:1 with VG/PG so that may very well contribute to the coil longevity.

Well if Lost Vape came out with a 1.xΩ pod, the Replay feature would become worthless. Because I can't think of a TC wire that you can build that high. You might get close with SS316L, but building SS316L past 0.5Ω the vapor and flavor would get pretty darn weak. And I doubt anybody would be happy vaping from a SS316L coil at 1Ω. You really would need Ni80 or Kanthal to get a decent vape being that high.

True brewbear. And you can change the resistance range within EScribe. Although the DL/MTL thing seems a bit misleading to me. As one can do either DL or MTL on both pods. Although I get why they reason why one would want to use the .5 for MTL and .25 for DL. But I don't think everyone would agree. I am liking the .25 more and more for DL/MTL.

I only have 0.5 ohm pods but use a restricted DL, my idea of MTL is a very tight draw. I have that draw with the EUC 1.3 ohm coils in BB using the MF bridge but I was hoping to rebuild the pods with a higher resistance coil and extend the battery life. Oh, well, I'll just have to buy another Orion and be covered thru the day.....
