Can you guys please rate the flavour out of 10 please. Someone on youtube said it's a bit muted on the flavour. So I would like to hear from others. I would like to get one of this for my dad for Christmas.

My 1st pod fill was muted I was using Red Laces by the SauceLA, its a strawberry cotton candy- I'd say a 5
2nd pod fill I used the Sauce LA -1922 which is a fruity koolada- much better flavor- I'd say a 9
not sure if it is the pod breaking in or the stronger koolada flavor, but it is tasting great now!
I usually use RDTAs and both of these flavors are very strong using the Pyros!
I use 1922 in my Nebox and now the orion flavor very similar to that.
I am using the .5Ω pod in the orion

So I am interested in some 50/50 juice suggestions. I find the 70/30 juices are not ideal in the Orion. Thoughts?
Probably not something most folks would do, but if you have a juice you really enjoy and it's not available in 50/50, then I would add PG to thin it out.

Most commercial juices are overflavored in my opinion anyways. Just a thought, might not be an option for you. Flavor is a weird thing. I actually enjoy less flavor in most cases and can actually taste it better.

Also, your pods will thank you and last longer. Flavor and sweeteners kill coils/pods quicker than PG/VG.

I think you are right about tobacco dansus. Although my coffee vapes taste great in them. But they taste pretty great in just about anything I try them in. I did buy 3 other tobacco flavors which I never tried last Wednesday. But they are too unsteeped and they taste something weird and nothing even close to tobacco. I am hoping they will turn out pretty good after steeping. :)

Been using DIY USA Red (HS) in one pod and another DIY tobacco, Mild Seven from Super Concentrates in another pod. They've been working for me. Taste has gotten better with each refill. Going to mix up a few higher nic fruity tobaccos this weekend to see how they work with the Orion.

I think I'm a little confused. Looking at EScribe while the mod is connected, it gives a min. and a max. value for the coil's resistance in both DL and MTL. Does this mean that should you be able to replace the coil, you have to adhere to that specific resistance range, or, put whatever coil you make and reset wattage values ? As an example, say I manage to install a 1.2 ohm coil in it, should I reset power levels to 12, 14 and 16 (or more appropriate 8, 10, 12)?

brewbear, the min resistance is for the DL pod (.25Ω) and the max is for the MTL pod (.5Ω). Yes if you put in your own coil, you can set this for your coils. But since Evolv hasn't shared the min and max resistance the DNA Go can handle, I couldn't be able to tell you more.

Btw, that Profile value, you can add up to 5. This is the 3 power settings. So you can add more if 3 isn't enough.

I got mine today and I'm really happy with it. Tried some Net-Liquids and they taste really gooood.
MTL-Vaping is no problem and the replay option seems to work great. So far the coil is holding up with the 0.5 pod.
The 0.2 is not ideal for MTL, maybe i have to change the Volts with Escribe, to match it better.
Does somebody have a tipp for the 0.2 for MTL, or is that no option?

I'm still on the fence about the Orion and I wish I was having the same experiences as everyone else. The design, durability, and functionality of the device is great, but I'm really not blown away by the flavor that I'm getting at the moment. I recently picked up the Nautilus AIO and as much as I don't want to admit it, the Nautilus (and Breeze 2 for that matter) beats the Orion hands down in the flavor department.

Maybe it's down to my preference and personal tastes, but the vape that I get off the Orion feels "drier" and more muted than the one I get with the Nautilus or Breeze at a similar setting. The flavor sort of reminds me of what I get out of the Minifit. I wonder if the fact that both devices essentially have a chamber made of plastic rather than metal? With the Aspire devices, I seem to get more of a rich, sweet flavor out of my juices. Again, it may just be a subjective thing but if someone's looking at both devices and working on a budget, the Nautilus is a great choice too.

I got similar experiences on this, came from breeze 2 and nautilus aio, the flavor I got from Orion is muted for all types of liquid I tried. With 0.5 pod all salt nic liquid I have is not as flavorful as those in nautilus aio. I tried my adv free base liquid in 0.25 pod and the flavor is not that satisfying, agree it's somehow 'drier' but better than salt nic with 0.5 pod. It's similar when you're setting your coil position in RDA and it's not correctly positioned against the airflow holes. Not sure if this is a process of getting the pods to break in but I just got this device for 2 days so time will tell. The point that might be a reason for this is nautilus aio is using a vertical coil and the position is close to your mouth compare to orion which is a simple coil in 0.5 and simple parallel build in 0.25, but I'm not sure about this.

Since we can tweak some setting in escribe, is it possible to somehow simulate the experience I got with nautilus aio at least from the power delivery side? Understand that the physical design is something that we can't change but I think it's worth to try....

I'm looking forward to trying my Orion with anything beyond the unflavored I've been using in it. But, that said, I don't find it "drier" at all. In fact, I find it a warmer moister and richer vape compared to Breeze2, Nauti AIO and Vladdin.

Glad I'm not completely alone in my initial impressions. I don't mean to sound really negative about the device. Other from the issues with flavor, I love the form factor and the ability to tweak my settings. Maybe I just don't have everything dialed in properly so I'm going to take some time to adjust my settings a little bit more and see if I can get it to my liking over the rest of the weekend. This is where I think a rebuildable pod would really shine. I wonder if a lot of the differences that I've noticed are due to the resistance and gauge of wire used.

I hadn't considered the vertical vs horizontal coil in the two devices. I have tried to adjust the boost level and replay warmth to see if I can mimic the hit that I get from the Nautilus but I haven't gotten the same burst of flavor that I'm used to. If I can figure it out, I'll try to post my settings.

In other news, I received my new pods from Eciggity a couple of days ago and haven't had a leak since. I'm hoping it was just a bad batch but at least the outlook is a little more optimistic. I also decided to decrease the amount of flavoring in my ADV mint recipe and it's definitely helped at least a little bit.

Look at the positive side of things, the leaky pods could possibly be taken apart and have the coils replaced! I have a brand new, unopened (yet) bottle of DEBONDING liquid just waiting for my first pod to drop in flavor or give me a reason to replace it. As of now, the flavor is still good and that is pretty impressive considering it has been used every day with an average of three refills daily.
Forgot to add, I've been using it since last Friday.

I've been saving my pods for that same occasion! Let us know if you can figure it out. I've considered using a solvent of some sort to dissolve the glue but I'm afraid I'd be too paranoid of residue left behind from the chemicals to actually use it if it was rebuilt/rewicked. That is pretty impressive with the refills though. I haven't been able to push any of my older pods very far with the leaking but now that I have one that appears to seal properly I'm going to see how long I can keep it alive.

So then, how do you explain my hazelnut Cappuccino tastes exactly the same MTL/DTL in the Orion vs. my Triade/Crown 1 MTL/DTL? The Orion uses a single horizontal coil while the Crown uses dual vertical coils? Both are using 0.25Ω SS316L coil(s).

My Strawbreezy (strawberry cheese cake) juice tastes great in the Crown. Although in the Orion the flavor merges all of the individual flavors (ripe strawberry, creamy cheesecake, and sweet graham cracker) altogether.

Of course, those are only two examples out of dozens. But I am still sticking to my story that neither horizontal or vertical coils is better than the other in all cases, until someone demonstrates how I am wrong. And the same is true of the Orion pods. Some e-liquids vape really well with them. And some, not so well. Its all basically boils down to being juice dependent.

It sounds like you are talking about your Breeze and Nautilus is over saturating your coil (right on the edge of flooding) if you let them sit. Sure lots of people like this. But they don't stay over saturated and quickly vaporizes off, right? Is this what you mean by the Orion is drier since it doesn't do this?

If this isn't it, take the fill cap off and now vape it. Did it instantly improve?

didn't see it mention here so a heads up that according to Todd's review there are two versions; a TPD with 2ml pods and the regular 3ml,so pay attention when ordering if that matters to you.
also i have no idea if it's only the pods that are different or also the device and if they're interchangeable.

for my part i'm not sure this device is for me,as i always use coils above 1.4 ohm and like a tight draw;
my main tank is a kfl+ and on the prime I'm on its smallest hole and quit the same on the Nautilus.
Todd rates it as a loose mtl,so i hope LV will come with other pods set up that might fit more the definition of MTL.

and on a side note, even tough I'm not a "save the planet" kind of person,i find there is a lot of waste going on with those orion disposable pods.
a more durable pod with the option to choose your DT and build your coils would be nice in all aspects.
