I just got my orion about an hour and a half ago. Even after seeing tons of photos of it, it's still somehow smaller than I expected. This little guy is awesome so far. Super smooth, and the draw for mtl is honestly perfect for me with the airflow closed almost all the way. I think I've already got it set up the way I want it in escribe. I think so far I like the vape better than my doggystyle.

One question I did have is if new pods are generally hard to insert/remove. I installed it the way the manual says to but it won't eject just with the latch button. It seems to require a small amount of force to remove it from the mod.

Some are a little stiff at first. ;)

Hey I’m in and subscribed... just picked up a blue one at my LVS along with some pods. Really like the vape, as I like a tighter DTL hit and size, flavor and vapor production works great for me. A little bummed to see the reports of sudden deaths, but will just carry my Zero as a backup. It is good to see Evolv handling it... Just. Need. an.RBA.option. and yea, I read the whole thread.

Regarding Orion's dying: my two, which I mostly use when I'm out, are doing fine after 3 or 4 months.
@EverythingEvil: yup, I agree about tossing crappy ones and autofiring. I had a MiPod sitting on the desk, unvaped for a month, which suddenly started firing. Some of the pods are harder than others to insert/remove. One of my two require me to push up a bit on the cartridge lock to make sure it's in the uppermost locked postion after inserting a pod. S maybe the same in reverse for you. No biggie. And I like the draw.
P.S. Although I pretty much only use them when I'm out, they're the only mods I use when out, so they've gotten a good amount of usage.

Breazy has the Orion on sale for $39.99 at the moment . For those who want to pick up another?
Thanks for the tip. Breasy.com doesn't have all black at the moment. I'll try to wait for that. They are also selling replacement pods, 2 pack, $7.99. But they charge $4.99 shipping. I can buy 4 2-packs and they charge the same $4.99 shipping which it works out to $4 per pod instead of $6. Is there a good estimate for ml's of liquid consumed before replacement? (My DIY is 50/50, no sweeteners, 1% unsweetened flavoring, which should be good for coil life.)

But I am liking the Replay feature a lot. Puff for puff my vape experience is excellent. I'm getting a first quality throat hit with half the e liquid my bigger rigs consume. My intention is to use pod systems for backup and stealth, so not many puffs per week. If the pods last and are reasonably priced I'll take more puffs.

Is there a non destructive way to remove the drip tip? The stock drip tip is so firmly attached I worry about breaking something trying to remove it. If I get that done will 510 drip tips fit?

*** Breasy.com is also promoting a new version of the Orion, without the DNA GO chip, that will cost $30 when available. I'm glad to have the more expensive Replay version.

No, standard 510 drip tips doesn't fit.

I can't find it for some reason now, but I recall seeing a post in this thread claiming that the updated orion pods are 3ml. I've noticed in general there seems to be some confusion on thier juice capacity.

I decided to measure out one of the updated .5ohm pods last night using a 10ml syringe. The capacity of the pod I measured is 2.2ml. I ordered my pods from a site based in the US. Thought maybe this would help clear up some of the confusion.

There is a thread on evolvs forums explaining this issue. It has something to do with the mod thinking that it has a draw activated sensor and never getting the signal because it doesn't exist. Apparently it's an easy fix, and once fixed it won't happen again. According to evolv any of the Orions produced during or after October do not have this issue.

I hate to post so many times in a row but I did have a question about the pods on these little guys. I've seen some talk of removing some of the cotton from the pods to get them to wick better. How exactly are people doing this? There doesn't seem to be any other way into the pod other than through the fill cap.

I checked in on it yesterday evening and as far as I can tell there is no information on the rebuildable pod. Also looked through their store, not a thing for the orion.

Edit: There was one single post I found today from about 5 weeks ago stating that they have a working prototype. That's about all I know.
Check it now!!
