after a few weeks of testing i for sure recommend dropping wattage down to 5-8 and knocking up boost.

getting the early boost and dropping down to a lower wattage to continue the vape is a good way to get a good hit while minimizing dry hits by giving the coil a break after the boost.

i hit a whole tank back to back non stop on 7watt 5 boost and 7watt 8 boost with 0 dry hits.

i feel the orion should not be looked at like a standard device where you just continually increase the wattage but instead drop wattage a little lower and try boosting.

just imo

I had to go out with the family for a while so unplugged it since I don’t like charging when I’m not home. I just plugged it back in and it’s slow flashing red.

It will slow flash red then green then blue and then off when full charged.

Some will never get to blue. I have two and only one goes to blue, the other green. You don't have to worry about over charging. It will auto stop when full. I have seen it when in Device Monitor in eScribe. Once it is fully charged it stop power to the device all by it's self.

I’m fully charged now. I honestly couldn’t tell if the light was green or blue. I’ll download escribe tomorrow. I took a few hits on the lowest setting and it’s a decent vape.

I highly recommend getting eScribe. Turn the wattage down to no higher than 10watts for your highest setting. I have mine set up with 4 settings instead of the 3 that it comes with from factory. Don't get nic sick puffing and watching Device Monitor like I did.

I also recommend you use a thinner ejuice in the pods. I went through 6-7 pods before I started mixing my own juice to a thin mix of 25vg/75pg. Also to use up the nic salts I had bought I added a little distilled water to the juice and found the pods lasted about two weeks vs 3 days. Replay will also extend the life of the pods too.

I downloaded escribe and am trying the 9/2/1 settings and turned on replay when I got a vape that I really liked. I am using a diy menthol tobacco that I’m going to mix at a higher pg ratio for this unit. I have to stealth vape at work and the menthol tobacco has almost no scent which works well.

I thought on the video I watched that the person said escribe would default to the tab according to the pod you had installed but I had a .5 installed and it came up in dtl. Not a big deal but something I noticed. Also I let the Orion charge for a long time and the light never shut off.

I took that for granted...that's why I posted the wrong photo upthread. The right way is to pay attention to which line beneath the DL/MTL tabs are open/close. Actually very simple but it caught me out...:-x

Both mine shuts off when on a wall charger. In Device Monitor you can see when it completes charging because the USB Power and Current will drop off to 0. I can't say that I ever checked the LEDs on any device when connect to escribe. I think it might stay on because it is connected to the program not just a USB power source.

I noticed that the TABs doesn't come up correctly on my Paranormal either. I think it just pulls up the first tab not the one you last used.

This afternoon was my 2nd time charging. After a bit it went to a green steady light. Then I decided to leave it alone & when I went back to check the charging light went off.

    Question...again plz :p
Is a setting of 7W with a 3 boost, the same as a setting of 10W with a 0 boost?
And, how does the warmth impact on both these settings?
    Thanks..

Boost is the additional watts applied to your set base watts only to get the coil up to temp. So 7/3 will start at 10 watts then drops down to 7 watts for the remainder of the puff. 10/0 will have no ramp up and stay at 10 watts for the entire puff.

Warmth is only in replay mode. I noticed this pop-up on the Paranormal in escribe when I scroll over the warmth bar.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How much extra power the device should be willing to apply to a puff.
The default setting of 5 works well for most atomizers.

You may need to lower the Warmth if your atomizer's gives different parts of the coil drastically uneven contact with the juice. Otherwise, this is not a setting you should need to adjust much, if ever.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So what I get from this is it's like a boost setting when in replay. I will be setting my "Warmth" to the same setting as my boost setting. I had been setting at the lowest setting.
