and the mod was designed around the board.
Odd, then what are the draw sensor connections for? And why is it available in Evolv? And to see Evolv's default dna Go settings and not Lost Vape. Open EScribe and select new and the dna Go. What do we have here?

They have 5 power settings and not 3. Starting at 12W through 16W. Boost is set on 5 for all and warmth at 5 too. Coil resistance is set for 0.1 min and 2 ohm max. I dunno, they are far different than the settings for the Orion.

Orion Q 1ohm pod. Looks like it has a reduced chamber.

Ya brew, you're right, or it's a different DNA board I guess? There are a couple of youtube reviews that just went up for this if anyone is interested.

And DJLsB has a full breakdown, and says he's gotten dry hits on the Q, even with 50/50. Not a glowing review by any means. He makes an interesting point that losing the DNA dry hit protection may be the cause of it.

Bummer. I guess I'm going to continue to wait till they get theses pods figured out.

It also has a Kanthal coil in it so I doubt it will work with the DNA Go in the original Orion. My understanding is the Orion Q doesn't have the DNA Go board in it... then again, I could be wrong.
Should work fine long as you adjust ohm range, or as BillW said, load in the stock DNA Go profile.

So, just to understand, are you saying the Orion Q has a DNA Go chip in it but the firmware is different?
It appears to me that the Q will have nothing from Evolv on board, just the simplist board from who knows where that regulates watts to a fixed number that's not adjustable. Apparently a lot of customers must have told Lost Vape that all they want is the bling, no technology.

It looks like the max voltage output on the DNA Go is 3.45 volts.
That equates to 11.9 watts with a 1.0 ohm coil.
You might spot on with that, 1ohm pod at 12w max.

Edit: I load up device monitor and set it to 30w on 0.25 pod for 2secs, graph showed 3.44v.

(cold ohms, 0.299. live ohms, 0.377)

It a completely different board, the only thing in common is they are both regulated and share the same footprint.

Exactly. If you look at DJLSBvapes’ video the Orion q is a simple regulated board. The complexity of the evolv board is much higher. Which is why it can output up to 40(?) and more importantly has Replay.

Some don't care about DNA and being able to adjust. Some also don't care about replay.. The Q is a cheaper version that I assume was meant to compete with the lessor priced POD options out there...

I have a Orion Go but might snag a Q as well..

The Orion Q is a confusing creature in my opinion. They basically took an Orion and took away all the reasons I bought it in the first place...

I'm not saying that people won't buy it. But I do feel like it's just expensive enough and not quite eye grabbing enough at first glance that most people wouldn't go for something else $10 cheaper. Depending where you look online the price difference is relatively minimal.

So I tried to comb out some of the cotton on my first .25 pod and ended up ruining the pod. I really didn't comb much out either, but the pod is pretty well trashed. It keeps flooding despite trying to pack some of the cotton back up into the slot.

Has anyone found a way to pull these pods apart without destroying them?
