This is happening with my Pilots. Whenever I use them in the car with the windows down, the batteries fail very quickly. I rolled up the windows, put my thumb over the hole in the mouth piece - no dice. It has to be the vibration from the car.

I'm going to leave a note in the PS forum about it. I think it must be a design flaw. This has happened twice so far.

i saw another post about vibration from the car. i haven't had those issues with mine. could it be where you are resting the cig? or something related? i've been sitting mine in my cupholder and haven't been seeing it light up.

then again i'm not watching it...but it isn't hot when i pick it up :)

also noticed "burnt" got...burnt and banned.

Ok...

I have a buddy that has the car / vibration issue...that may be where you saw the post.

Since he reported the issue to me I took them for a spin in my Nissan Altima...A supremely quiet car. I will grant that they didn't light up as much in my car as they did in his (a Camaro) but they did light up.

I've already told Steve about this issue but...well...lets just say that he's being a bit...

uuuhm...

Shady...

about the whole thing.

He's trying to say that there's no issue.

(The same batteries will activate from rolling across a glass table-top).

I don't know what Steve's problem is but it's my opinion that those batteries are defective and should be replaced.
