Enabler! I've got this 15-60x60 Bausch and Lomb scope but it's long and inconvenient to use from a shooting bench.

Well, the unit I posted may not be a B&L, however, I'd venture to guess you paid more than 30 clams for yours .. ;) .. I like the angled feature/short barrel, too .. I'm now digging around for adapters for the Canon and whether or not I can mount it on a regular tripod .. it looks like the adapter will run more than the 'scope .. not by much, though ..

What does it look like when a Post has one of each "rating" symbol .. ?? Just out of curiosity, can I get 10 people to rate this post, each using a different "rating" symbol .. ?? I just want to see how it looks .. :)

I added the agree symbol...cuz I know how to count...:p

Well, I’ll let you know how the optics compare when it arrives. Never thought about an adapter to use it with a camera. Keep me on the loop, on how you make out doing that.

I have narrowed down the search to ::

https://www.amazon.com/BARSKA-AF105...Barska+Digiscoping+Adapter+for+Spotting+Scope

The only thing I have yet to decide is, will I need to set the Canon to not auto turn off or auto retract while using the adapter .. which is probably the downside to any adapter, using a camera whos lens auto-retracts .. there is a ton of these things for Smartphones, DSLR's .. not much that could be used with the G7 X Mark II that I have yet found .. ;)

The Canon is capable of some fairly impressive video, which is what I am attempting to explore .. you could, practically, make a feature film with this thing .. :)

So...I'm sick of being sick! And not being able to breath!

Forget the Drs.!

I just ordered a Neti Pot/ salts/ Eucalyuptus oil!

I WILL fully breath again!

:D

I've never tried one, but I have a friend that swears by them .. she has not, however, ever agreed to a live demonstration .. ;)

Whether this scope works for you or not depends on what you need a spitting scope for and how far the objects you want to see are.

For instance as a hard-core birder that scope would not work for me. The optics would not be sharp enough to spot birds at, say, 500 yards and be able to identify them. We would be able to tell they are birds but not what type and we would certainly not be able to I.D. the finer points that separate one species from another. So our scope cost us a small fortune but it does what we need it to do.

I would recommend you visit a camera shop that sells spotting scopes and try some out that have pretty much the same optics and features as the one from Amazon so you can see if it will work for you. Then you buy it from the cheaper of the two places.

I never used a Neti pot, but it sounds remarkably like water boarding.
It is really not that bad, and does clean out the nose. However, I put 1/8 tsp. of table-salt into a shot-glass with warm water, wash my hands, pour a bit of the salt-water into my hand, and snort from there. Then blow your nose gently. Reduces the process to its most basic and cheapest elements. You really need to do it if you are using nose-spray, so that it lands on living tissue rather than "stuff".
