Bea ... are you a Kindle guru? My son-in-law gave me his Kindle. Right now I just reading a few of the books he already had on it. But I've been wondering if there's a way I can off-load them from the kindle, re-register the Kindle under my accc't then somehow reload them.

I think if I just re-register it to mine, all his books would disappear.
Mike, PM me.

Mike .. the key to the ability to randomly move most all digital files from one device to any other device is ::

1) Find a program that can remove DRM
2) Find a program that can convert the file to whatever format the new device uses, if it is a different file type than the original ..

Soft girl-porn. I liked it, and I don't usually do sexy stuff. Like when they realize what makes babies.

Which reminds me that when we all went on the "Book Jag" a while back, I failed to mention the "Outlander" series by Diana Gabaldon .. it's a great series, and the TV show is fairly true to the books .. Gabaldon drifts into a Harlequin Romance style periodically, so after the first few books, I learned to skip over those parts .. ;) .. I'm sure the Ladies have no problem with that, though .. ;)

I skipped maybe a page or so of the sexier parts, from the entire series. She does it good.

I've written in the past about all the great music and composers / performers that came out of the Brill Building in NYC during the 1950's/60's .. one I've not touched on is Neil Sedaka .. who, coincidentally, dated Carole King while he was still in High School .. and, wrote a song for her .. :)

Sing along with me .. ;) ..

One of my favorites .. written for Connie Francis

Times were just so simpler, back then .. ;)

No, but I did see the film .. :) .. Daryl Hannah was great .. :)
Spoken like a true male...;) She is/was gorgeous. The film was like most....not near as good as the books IMO.

Books and TV series...just reminded me that Netflix picked up "The Last Kingdom"...and season 2 is available....

As to romance in novels, I don't mind it as long as they don't devote entire pages and chapters to who touched who and how... I had a favorite author whose books I loved, until....I felt she sold out..:(

I agree she does a good job on the Romantic bits .. I just tend to enjoy the Time Travel aspects, Scottish Historical Fiction, Adventure, etc .. more so ..

and, I really like Claire .. :)

Spunky lady, especially in the age of the Scottish wars, almost a modern--- aah-- OK, forgot that part. :D It grates on me when I see characters with anachronistic values in historical novels. Gabaldon created a fine excuse for it. She also did a tragic bit in repairing the female parts of a child-slave who had been raped and given birth.

Garrison Keillor, for cryin' out loud .. ?? I'm beginning to suspect no Man within the confines of the USA is immune to some sort of allegation ..

I'm going Public now ::

To my knowledge, on two different instances occurring years apart :: I had my arm around a Woman's waist and, when I removed it, my hand slightly brushed her .... .. it was completely unintentional, no words were exchanged nor outraged looks .. I was neither married nor in any sort of relationship with these Women

On more than one occasion .. I have been at a Bar or Lounge when a Woman has walked up to me, grabbed my hand and pulled me out on the Dance Floor .. during these bouts, due to my state of inebriation, I cannot honestly remember what sort of Public Physical Contact may or may not have taken place .. and I do not exclude said Women as possible culprits of any contact ..

I believe a Man, these days, must get out in front of these type things .. ;)

Also, I have hugged and I have been hugged .. I don't know if that counts .. yet .. ;)
