Did something new last night. Perry took me to a coffee/beer shop that two of our Moose member run and they were having Music Bingo. It was a lot of fun. We were meeting two other Moose members there and I really liked them.

I actually won one of the games. I got a big metal flower. Perry said we could put it on his mom's grave because she loved flowers. The couple we were with won also and she gave me their prize. My behind did not really need the huge container of Cheese Balls but it has been years since I had any and they were delicious.

Met another one of Perry's good friends. He was so funny. Several years ago he was crushed by a bull and after a 15 hour operation, he is mostly titanium. Talk about a lucky man. I also liked him because he makes ice cream on his cow farm and sells it. He makes a bunch of different flavors and said his favorite and a big seller was Paw Paw ice cream. I had heard of that from an old nursery rhyme or something but did not know it was a real fruit. Sheesh! I've lived a sheltered life. I had to put something else on my Bucket List. Am I the only one that did not know about the Paw Paw fruit?

Oh, well. I hope everyone is having a wonderful week.

Good morning. A little chilly here today, only going to 69, but the sun is shining and the wind has died down finally.

So, yesterday we watched our grandson because he was home from school sick since Monday. When our son got home from work he took him to the pediatrician who tested him and turns out he has type B flu. Oh joy. So, on the advice of the pediatrician I put in a call to our doctor for a Rx for Tamiflu. Easter is Sinday and the whole family is coming for dinner and an Easter egg hunt. I can't get sick! I've got too much to do!!

@Rat2chat2 Yes, I've heard of paw paw fruit, but have never seen one and have no idea what it tastes like. It's bound to be delicious though if the guy is making ice cream with it. Ice cream is always good no matter what flavor in my book. At least so far I've never tasted any that wasn't delicious.

I said I was not going to do it but, I went back to Walmart today. Perry said we needed glass jars for our salsa canning project this weekend.

To be honest, it was not that bad today. I think that is because I did not have any questions or need any help.

Perry's leftover hamburgers he grilled last night, is going to be added to some shrimp I took out of the freezer. I guess that is surf and turf. Sounds good to me anyway. I am eating so bad. All I've had today is jellybeans and cheeseballs. How's that for a diet? Sheesh! And I have not even been to the gym this week. I think I am going to stay home by myself next week and get back to my old routine before I gain all the weight I lost.

Did my weedeating at Perry's this afternoon so he can mow this weekend. Because of the pollen (which is terrible this year here) I came in and jumped into the shower to get it off. I hope it helps. It couldn't hurt. I was hoping the rain we had got rid of it but, nope. It's here. I hate that I have never been bothered by it and now I am.

I asked him and he told me it was a cross between a mango and a banana. Sounds good to me. Like you, ice cream simply cannot be bad.

I sure hope y'all can avoid getting sick. That was probably a good call to get in touch with the doctor.

Good evening.

What a great day! It was almost 70 here and sunny so I went to the local nursery and got some plants - 2 kinds of lettuce, sugar snap peas and a beautiful salmon colored begonia plant for our deck. I talked to the owner about coming here on Thursday to map out our flower beds and advise us on what kinds of bushes/plants to put in around the house.

And then the fun began. I got the support fence put up in the garden, added soil and planted the lettuce and peas and put in another row of radish seeds. Got the begonia potted up for the first flowers on the deck and got the hose working. Oh yeah, bring on the sun and let the growing begin!

Ach! We can't get sick for Easter! The whole family is coming here for dinner and the boys are looking forward to an egg hunt in the back yard. I've got some food to prep tomorrow including some scratch rolls that I haven't made in ages.

I looked up the paw paw fruit and it turns out they go bad within 2 days of ripening so they don't transport well. No wonder we don't see them in the supermarket. They take 7 years to bear fruit and I think they're an ugly looking fruit, but are pretty nutritious.

Morning all.

Rain is back, so waterproof egg dye is needed :)

A few months back I somehow got type A flu. They put me and my wife (who tested clear) both on Tamiflu. I got over it in just a couple days, Pat didn't come up with any symptoms at all. Hope you're both on it, works great!
