Good morning. 20 degrees here, going up to 40. Looks like the temps are starting to moderate finally. We should hit 60 degrees on Tuesday. Yay! 3 weeks and 5 days til Spring! I'm itching to get my garden going.

Today we're going to our grandson's 7th birthday party at the local bowling lanes. He's invited 20 kids!!! Oh boy.

Morning, lizards.

No sunny rocks here, rain started sometime overnight, and said to continue until at least Monday.

Today we're going to our grandson's 7th birthday party at the local bowling lanes. He's invited 20 kids!!! Oh boy.

Uh, good luck?

huge soft pretzels with cheese dip
One of my personal favs as well .. Blue Moon Cheese Dip at my local pub and some big, chewy, soft pretzels ..
Does anyone here have a fireproof home safe you're happy with?
Sentry makes some good units .. I had a safety deposit box for many years, but it just became a hassle ..
Uh, good luck?
How about an update on the Health Scenario .. ??

Well, after the low hit 2 days ago of -1o with added windchill, it feels like a heat wave now at 35o .. honestly, it felt brutal during that 4-5 day stretch .. my old bones just can't tolerate the cold anymore and my skin just seems to be thinner .. my dog jumps up on my lap and paws my arm for attention and I get a bruise ..

Things are looking up, though ::

Father time has certainly caught up with us. Once upon a time long, long ago when we got together for race day, we talked about who swapped out the cam on their small block Chevy, who bored out the cylinders on their motorcycle engine, who got new mag wheels for their car ... etc. etc.

This year it was who was in the hospital for why and for how long. Who couldn't leave the house for 2 months because of a lower GI infection and couldn't be more than seconds away for the bathroom, who got up from bed in the morning and cracked their head open, then 2 days in the hospital, who's happy they didn't have another mini stroke in the last year, etc. etc.

But at least the old gang is still all together on the 'right' side of the 'turf'. Truly thankful for that.

Very, very well said, Mike .. brought back a few memories of my own .. you know, I don't use the word blessed often, but I think it's appropriate ..

You're a good Man ..

Morning, all.

More rain, sometimes heavy, sometimes heavier :)

Mumbling about maybe 60 for mid-week, but oddly also saying the snow level will drop back down to around 3500' the same day??

How about an update on the Health Scenario .. ??

Chemo continues (at least two more rounds of 3 days each, including an immunotherapy infusion), and seems to be working :) Scans a few weeks back made my oncology doc happy, so headed the right way. Biggest issue is peripheral neuropathy and swelling, mostly in my left foot, a little in the right. Makes walking something I have to think about, and of course walking is what's needed to control the swelling. Otherwise I usually feel pretty normal, although I do sleep more than I used to :) Since we do most of our healing while asleep, I'm fine with that!

Between the medical treatments and prayer circles coast to coast, yep, going to beat this :)

These days, I feel like my head is on a swivel .. I've about decided to just put a moratorium on the News

Right? And it's having a detrimental effect on my wallet, too. I was asked don't you have enough ammo already? NOPE!

Good morning. Looks like a lovely day outside, but it's only 34, going up to 54. Yep, our temps are moderating.

My new project is making little gnome ornaments. Made the first one from scraps I had here that turned out pretty cute. Today I'm going to Hobby Lobby to get some better supplies.

Spring starts in 3 weeks and 3 days! I got 3 more grow bags for my potatoes which are sitting on a tray in the kitchen where they're trying to push out some sprouts. It'll probably take another couple weeks before I can plant them and move the bags outside next to the garden.

@Janet H I would love to see pics of your project.
My daughter, hairdresser and I have been going a bit crazy with gnomes. Here's one I made for Christmas. He definitely looks better in person. My next one will be
made using a smaller tomato cage and branches with leaves if I can find them.

I made one of the ornament gnomes with scraps I had just to see how it would go. It was pretty easy so I just got back from Hobby Lobby with better supplies. As soon as I get one made I'll post a picture. I think they'd look adorable on packages as well as on the Christmas tree or hanging in a window.

Hi there all. It was a beautiful weekend here. Perry took me out on the mc yesterday and it was wonderful. Visited my friend that just lost his wife. He is such a sweet man and he misses her so much. Perry said we would take him out to eat one night and I think that was pretty nice of him.

Going to be so warm this week and it is probably just a little tease. I am so ready for Spring. And turning the clocks back is soon too. I think it is March 9th this year. I love DST.

Sleep well all and have a great Tuesday.

I do believe in the power of prayer. We are all sending good thoughts. I think a positive attitude also helps and you definitely have that going for you.

    Morning, all.

Rain continues, but so far the predicted 40+mph winds and gusts to 60 haven't happened here. Said to have started about 10 last night, but all we've had are some gusts around 25. Hope it stays that way!

Here are the 3 gnomes that I made so far. I'm still playing with the materials. Never heard of the stuff called Roving, but that's what the beard is made of. Weird stuff to work with. I'll be making several more to pack away for Christmas and to give to my daughter and hairdresser friend. We're kind of gnome obsessed.

    Morning, all.

Rain's gone for the rest of the week, so they claim. As are the winds, which did seem to avoid our place. Nice of them, as some points north are still in the dark!! At least the temp has been over freezing...

    We're kind of gnome obsessed.

    and they are cute :)
