Morning, all.

Seems the guessers guessed right, light overcast that will likely burn off in a couple hours.

Now if could just find a nice flat rock ... :)

Have I mentioned I generally hate phone apps .. ?? OK, I know they have their place with some things, but it just seems like every place on the planet wants you to use an app .. then, if it's a food app, they want you to pay even before you go get the food .. I pay with cold, hard cash still .. I liked actual coupons .. now, to get a deal, you need an app ..

Yeah, I'm with you Willie. It would be so much better if stores would just advertise what was on sale and dispense with the coupons and apps. That's the way Costco operates, but BJs is located 10 minutes away and right next to our grocery store so I go there for convenience, but much prefer Costco which is 30 minutes away.

Also, i prefer cash too. I think people get themselves in trouble with huge cc balances because it's so easy to just swipe a card, but then you don't see that you've run out of money until the cc bill comes in. Surprise!

Morning, all.

"Feels like" summer for a couple days, mid 60s. Possible showers Monday, then REALLY feel like summer, mid / upper 70s. That will make 2 summers so far :)

Yeah, the rip-off of personal data... to get the discounts you need the app that needs to know all about you. Nope, not me, either. Of course, it IS cheaper for the vendor than paper coupons, which have gone right next to the dodo...

And, while our kids are all adults, this is another gripe:

This fairly well encapsulates my ways .. when I get my 6 month check up, I make sure I leave all the pocket stuff in the truck, otherwise, I'll weigh in at 10 extra pounds ..
It's amazing how much clothing weighs, but they won't let me get naked when I show up for my appointment.

Dad asked me one day at the doctor's office when they were weighing him if he would weigh less if he had a helium balloon up his you know what.

The nurse just laughed. They did one day at me when I took off my earrings and asked her to hold them while I weighed. heehee

Hey there, all. Perry is feeling better after dropping 20-some lbs of fluid. Breathing much easier, but still has no energy. His doctor kept him on the increased diuretics and wants to see him next Thurs. She does not think it is his heart, but she is not a cardiologist, so I disagree and feel his doctor should call his heart doctor and get his July appt. moved up. I keep telling Perry that you have to be proactive nowadays. Oh well, enough about that for now.

I had another eye check yesterday and read one line higher than last week. YAY! He says it will still improve. The inflammation was also better. Taking 3 different eye drops, 4 times a day, is really the only inconvenience. But I am doing what they said. You just don't mess around with your eyes (or your heart, duh).

I have the other eye done in the morning, but I am not worried this time since I know what to expect. I can't wait. No more seeing dull colors. I just wish we did not have to be there at 6:15. I wouldn't want to cut on someone's eye at that time of day. Hope he has his coffee.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

I have not resorted to putting food apps on my phone, but I do EVERYTHING on my phone, and I have lots of apps. My phone was a big source of my entertainment when I was taking care of my dad, and I loved it and still try learning more. Perry uses his phone for calls and nothing else, but he also says a microwave should only be used for heating your coffee. Sheesh!

Good morning. Going to 68 today with on/off showers. That's better than last night when we were under a tornado watch and threats of 3" of rain and high winds. Yeah, I hear tornados have high winds... i heard a couple T-storms quickly pass through, but this morning my rain gauge only had .75 inches of rain so I guess we dodged a bullet.

So, last night turned out ok, but this morning we have a water problem. The water is so low we're only getting a trickle out of the faucet. It's a good thing I had the coffee pot set up last night. Guess we're not getting a shower this morning. It's not just us so the water company is investigating which I hope means quickly fixing.

The second eye surgery went very well yesterday. I am going without my glasses, but seeing a little blurry, but can make it out. Now with the road signs is another story. I'm not sure if I can't see them because it is so bright now. The sun was coming in the through the back porch and I almost had to put on my sunglasses.

I bet I sleep well tonight. I pressure-washed a third of the driveway and all the sidewalk. It is a big machine and I am already feeling sore. I am hoping tomorrow morning will not be too bad. I could be surprised. I'd like to be surprised.

Went to the Moose for supper, and the chicken fingers I ate were excellent, but Perry was disappointed. He said the crab legs had been overcooked. That does not happen often out there. I did not think much about the legs either. Way too much trouble IMO.

Happy Sunday to you all.

Only went to 66 today with a chilly breeze, but the sun was shining so it was a lovely day especially after the past few days of rain. So, I went to the garden center and bought some flowering plants for my butterfly garden out front. Hopefully I can get them planted tomorrow.

Our new landscaper is coming on Wed - finally! We've been waiting since last summer when that outfit never showed up. The garden center I was at today drew me a plan for the house and listed the bushes to be put in. They'll take out the old mulch and landscaper cloth and put all new mulch in. I'm so excited to get that work done. My back just can't handle the work anymore, but I'll be able to maintain it once the main work is done,

@Rat2chat2 Yep, after cataract surgery everything is much brighter. That's a good and bad thing!! Keep those sunglasses handy.
