I'm finally back and out of hospital.
Had hernia repaired and bag removed.
Bad news is that the cancer has spread some more.

No, but I used to be like that. I was told a family member referred to my home as "the museum", but it was NEVER like that. I like people to feel comfortable in my home. They just lived like pigs - still do... hoarders. Something happened to me a few years ago though, and I lay on the couch crying and sleeping when not at work... that went on for almost two years. I quit caring about anything but the cats. The house, yard, and pool went to hell except when someone was coming to visit. Now it is hard to find the energy to keep up with everything, but I try. Damn - is this old age????

I don't know your age either, Sun....but knowing you are getting ready to retire, I can take an educated guess. My best friend just retired from teaching....and she is not old, but had enough years in to get full pension.
I got "old" as far as housework goes when I got high speed internet. Used to be extra clean....now it is just passable. Still clean every day, but not nearly as well as before I discovered Google and my forum friends. My forum friends make me laugh and cry....housework only makes my cry.

Well, I am mostly packed and the house is mostly cleaned. Now all that is left is to shower and then make dinner.....daughter has already asked for my famous macaroni and cheese to be waiting when she gets here. Guess I have not done enough for her already. She said she asked for macaroni and cheese on the cruise ship, and they looked at her like she was not right. Guess that is not a cruise ship staple.
