Hi Tink and meggers. :)

 I gotta finish catching up on GH tonight. I watched three episodes on Tuesday but...I have three more to watch tonight and that will take me to tomorrow. Whew! I hate it when I get behind on GH.

General Hospital? :?:

You gotta love the soaps.

Running through. My doctor thinks I exercise and since I'm going to see him in the morning, I thought I'd go do some.

Yes he will ask. 8-o

 Phffffffft! Be free! Walk about the country, live in a tent and eat off the land! Don't let society drag you down to the dependance of money and soft living...air conditioning and heat...cars and lattes.

I'm back. :) The afternoon work was postponed until that person is feeling better. Back Reading (to see how badly you guys bashed me while I was sleeping.) . . .

I`m probably wrong but didn`t a hacker start all of the problem here lately

Some people just aren`t happen unless they can cause trouble. I never have and never will understand that :(

Begin Rant . . .

Viruses started it out in the 80's. A Virus was more of a nuisance then, not doing any real damage or harm. They were mostly written to gain status in the programming world... how they got on and how hard they were to get off, and as a way of showing control over a computer as a programmer. They evolved and got worse, beyond just being a nuisance. Then Trojan Viruses appeared, being used to open doors into a computer, making it easier for Hackers to get in to snoop around at your data. Next in line of the major problem infections was Spyware. Much Spyware uses Trojan Viruses to get on. This all started in the programming community to gain status as a programmer, but it has grown into a multi-billion dollar per year industry. People are making lots of money from doing this, and that's why they do it now. The AntiMalware people are making lots of money, too. It's a vicious, never ending cycle of one trying to stay ahead of the other, with the AntiMalware people generally only catching up at best.

Hacker got in and then they decided to do the server switch while fixing everything. Didin't work out so great.

Heeeelllllllllllooooooooooooooo :)

When I heard that ECF was Hacked, I wondered WHY? What did they hope to get? It may have been a Drive-By Hack (unintentional) or an outright one.

Security for any computer or Networked System is relative to the Hacker's Equipment and Experience, and the Time he has to Dedicate to that hack job. Nothing is impenetrable. Even the Pentagon was Hacked. All they can do is try to make it more trouble than it's worth. And with enough hoops to have to jump through and the right buzzers and bells, they may be able to catch (or take interactive actions to Block him) him before he makes it through.

End Rant.
