Hey Glammy! We are heading into the city tonight to meet friends for dinner who are up for the weekend. Taking the train in with many layers on, it's gonna be cold waiting on the platform

I have strong opinions on politics, not so much on religion.....but I agree with Sun. Those opinions/theories should not be a part of our discussions on this thread.....we do not need another rift. I like having you ALL as part of my life.

Even Dale and Starry.....who hogged all the coffee this morning. I will remedy that.

Have fun.....stay warm, eat well. And I would be staying off the streets during Super Bowl if I were you. But what is a few million more cars?

We are supposed to have the granddaughter for a few hours or overnight...we do not know yet. It is super windy here, and the temps are going to fall all afternoon....back to subzero. jj, Lisa, and I are looking for a new place to live!

It is still cold here but I was comfortable leaving the house in a sweatshirt/slacks to pick up my new glasses.

btw - the new contacts are marvelous. No prob getting them out last night. That may be partly because I tried a different method but who cares? In, out, makes me happy.

Happy to hear about the new contacts, Sun. Not so happy to hear about no gloves, face mask, boots, and parka with hood.....I am just jealous. Here is how we leave the house.....

I can see Metlife (formally known as Giants stadium which is what everyone around here still calls it, sorry Metlife) from my office, its less than a mile from there. No dome, it's cold here, hope all the outta towners dress warm !

I know....hubs was complaining. He says the Super Bowl is almost always played indoors....he does not understand why they are not doing that this year. Probably will give Broncos an advantage since they are used to playing in the cold.

Me? I will just sit inside my warm house to watch it.
