Staying in that cabin would be great, as long as I knew I could leave when I was ready, and there was tons of firewood, and steady electricity. Yes, I am spoiled to that. But being able to experience that snow, and build a real snowman, or whatever the imagination came up with... that would be fun.

Hope you and Sun can schedule your stability tests at the same time....maybe get a 2 for 1 discount. :D

I get tested at least twice per year... no hope for me.

Really though, I've never been locked in so long that I got cabin fever, and I've never experienced SAD, either.

I'll probably be leaving before too long. I told my nephew I'd help him move this weekend. I'm dressed all warm in my motorcycle winter undergarments. It's only 50º out, but very humid with all the melting snow and drizzle, so it's the kind of cold that cuts through.

I lent him my trailer, and his step-dad took it on Thursday because the cold and snow was coming, but they didn't plan on using it until today. I'll meet them when they come back to town and ride back and forth with them... he's moving near here. With me helping, we may get him all moved today. They were going to get started at 8AM, but didn't (I knew it wouldn't happen). I've called and been told it's a slow start, still getting boxes packed. Does this sound typical to anyone else?

But I'll cut him some slack. He's a fairly recent single Dad, doing an absolutely fantastic job of raising his daughter. IMHO, you'll never find a better father. His wife decided she didn't love him anymore, and packed up and left a while back. He gets lots of support from family. He's moving here for better schools for her, and to be closer to his job here. He had been commuting. So I'll be happy to help him, in any way I can. This is the same nephew who is interested in e-cigs. We haven't been able to meet for that yet, but we'll do it soon.

That is because you do not live where there is either 1. no sunshine for days or 2. sunshine but so cold you cannot go out and enjoy it, like today. I imagine SAD and Cabin Fever are pretty much midwest afflictions. I really do believe IL, WI, MN, IA, and MI have the worst overall climates in the U.S. But at least WI and MI are pretty. :)

I went to help my sister, her hubby pack up their and their kid's belongings. When I got there they had just started putting things in boxes! They knew they were moving about a month before.
Talk about fast paced but they got everything moved that day.

And a cheer for you friend. I also had a friend that woke up one morning to be told by his wife she was leaving him and their two kids. He did a terrific job of raising them. She came back into their lives ten years later and wanted the kids. He won that court battle! YAH

We have our own special ways to go crazy in the South. :D I liked it best in NOLA. We went crazy for everything! Carnivals, Festivals, Mardi Gras, and any other reason we needed or could come up with... HEY! IT'S 3:37!!!

I know this chicken's spring sprung a while back, but I also know not to overdo it. I take breaks when I need to (sitting for a bit helps), and I help with bigger loads that need more than one person. I am best at organizing whatever things are being loaded into; in this case, my trailer. Bring it on, put it in, and I'll get it stacked/arranged so more fits. Aside from being really good at it, this gives me breaks between loads, and saves having to haul stuff so far.

She's been gone for about 6 months, I guess. They came to some sort of agreement in court that I don't know any details about, but she gets visitation now. My nephew is a really great guy. I know you all would love him. I think it's good that the baby (I'll call her) gets to keep her mother in her life.

When my nephew and I get together on e-cigs, I'm going to highly recommend (again) that he joins ECF. He doesn't have Internet at home where he is now (probably doesn't care for it there, and monitors what "the baby" gets to watch on the tube), but I think he may have it on his cell. He said he had it at work, but I could not recommend playing here while at work. I've seen people get fired over that. But if he joins up, I told him that we could banter to get him out of New Members, so he could research and go where ever he wanted. We'll see if he wants to join us here (or if he even can). If he does, please don't breathe a word of anything I've said here. OK?

I imagine keeping up with thread at times would be a real big pain on his cell.

Ummmm... we won't have to. If he comes here he can back-read for himself. Good luck on the move!

Good evening Beach :)

They are creating Super Bowl Boulevard this year by blocking off about 25 blocks of Broadway from Herald Square all the way up to Times Square. Since the Super Bowl will actually be played in NJ, it means that mass transit and the streets will be overstuffed with vehicular and foot traffic. From my perspective, Times Square is normally congested...this will make it jam-packed along the lines of New Year's Eve. But wait, there's more! :) There will be a Party Cruise Ship sponsored by Bud Light parked on the Hudson just west of Times Square  There are many more such events planned as well. Of course, we got more snow today, so it will be interesting to see how this all plays out :D I'm sure this all means that NY and NJ get tons of revenues from the event, so at least there's that... :D

LOL's Stone, you sound so thrilled!
I am glad that fun will be had by all :) I'm a little unhappy it is happening in my "back yard." I mean, they're playing the Super Bowl across the river in New Jersey...so why not keep it in New Jersey??? I suspect some of it has to do with the NFL headquarters is in midtown Manhattan, and the rest of it is revenues...

But I will make it through without any problems I hope...it will just be inconvenient
