Hello Starry :)

Traditional hummus is chickpeas, lemon, garlic, tahini (sesame paste), and olive oil...and traditional hummus is slightly chunky...not the smooth puree that we most often eat. The mediterranean countries will sometimes add other flavors, but like every other cuisine we Americans tend to go crazy with it and add stuff. If you like olives, try one with olives mixed in...or red peppers...or spinach/artichoke. There should be one variation out there that you can palate. :D

I go to a farmers market and they make their own. They also make olives and pickles. It's called Olive my Pickle :). I buy tons from them. It's so much better than grocery store stuff.

But I live on green smoothies, and no...I'm far from granola. Just sayin.

You hit it... it was Mediterranean. And it had olives in it, which I don't much care for. It was kinda chunky and also grainy... didn't care for the texture. I was with friends at Greek and Mediterranean restaurants. I would probably like an American version better. I'm good with spinach and artichoke, as long as it well cooked or cooked into something. I like a good spinach casserole.

I'm not "granola" either, but I do like some things that are "healthy." I'm good for trying new foods, and I stick with what I like. We have some stores near me (and some of them are famous) that make pickles...they are awesome!! and crunchy! :D

I like some green smoothies, but some of them are far too bitter for my palate. We have some great smoothie places too.

You should google Kaleicious Smoothie ( from whole foods). It's my fav and I make it every single morning of the world. My friend that worked there gave me the recipe and it tastes really sweet. See? Here's proof. It's also what I have for lunch.

I have the best spinach casserole
ever. Google River Roads Spinach Madeline. I have to bring it to every holiday, pot puck, and on and on. It's a New Orleans recipe but it's fantastic. Oh and use the Velveeta jalapeño Monterey Jack cheese.

See, I splurge sometimes too.

They don't? What the hell kinda whole foods do you have? Haha. I used to spend a small fortune on them until I learned how to make them. Ok, I'll make it easy for you. Here's a link.

Why didn't that work? Anyway. You can figure it out from that, right?
