B/c of my busyness lately, I haven't been keeping up with the news. Are we going to war or something? My windows have been shaking for about 3 days ... last week too ... Pendleton is bomb drilling too often for the norm.
Sometimes they shell until 11pm. And it's loud with all the big booms. Friday doesn't like to go out to pee when they shell. He stays very close to me.

I wish you could too jj ... super fun crowd. It's easy to over-drink there b/c the beer is always very icy and refreshing. I get to chatting and forget I'm drinking until a little burp issues forth from between my lips.Kinda like shooting pool ... goes down fast n easy b/c you're not paying attention to anything but chat.
Some of us have even gone out to dinner at times at a local brewery. San Diego has a lot of breweries, and a well-known one in Carlsbad. Lots and lots of marines are always there. I love to talk to them ... they always say "yes ma'am" and "no ma'am."
Oh, you like playing pool, too. I love 8-Ball.

No OB, you've never mentioned it. You must be in very good shape.
One of my client's ex-wifes was deployed to Japan, so he won't get to see his daughter much for 3 years. He and his son fly over about every 3 months to visit. The DD is only 4 ... the cute age.
OB, we have both a huge Navy Base in San Diego (35 mi south of me) and the Pendleton Marines here (4 mi from me). A couple of yrs ago, Pendleton caught on fire. We have no tornadoes/hurricanes, but we have so many wildfires ... our worst fear ... earthquakes over the 2. level quite rare so far.

I used to play very well. When I was a child, I lived in a small desert town in CA. My dah was a welder for an oil company. A rec hall went out of business, so he bought one of their pool tables. We had a large house with a jumper porch (like on the southern plantations) all screened in. We spent all our spare time shooting pool year after year after year. Half the residents of the tiny oil town hung out at our house to shoot pool. The good ol' days when we dint lock our house or car doors and drank iced tea out of Mason jars, and no one wore shoes til the cold weather set in.
