Trying to save money.....
VG......our cell phones do not get good reception in our house because we have a man made berm right behind us that blocks the cell tower, so we were told you can buy a repeater that plugs into an outlet that strengthens tower signals by turning your house wiring into an antenna. I cannot find anything like that on the internet....have you ever heard of that?

I thought about not getting the land line but it was only ten bucks more.
We had the reception problem here until they put a tower right outside of town.
I just registered my home and cell numbers again.

Our tower is less than two miles away, but that danged hill is so high it blocks the signal. AT&T just did a check for signal strength.....that is when they found the blockage....if we drive 200 feet east of our house we have full bars because the berm ends.
Our tv has caller ID....how is that for lazy?

We keep our land line because of the bad cell phone reception....lots of times when someone calls my cell phone, I ask them to call back on our land line. Almost every received cell call gets dropped.
Most cell phones have trouble here. Verison put up the tower. A deal the town made with them. I can see the tower from the spare bedroom window. Before we'd have to drive up a hill about two miles away to get reception.
Time to start another show so into lurk mode I go.

Have you tried your cell phone company? If they can't help you, I can look into it for you. I have heard of things like that, but not for cell phones. It seems to me you'd need an antennae high enough to pick up the signal, but I really don't know.

My cell reception is poor inside the house, but much better outside.
