Trust me...it's gonna get worse BEFORE it gets better.

I do believe the saying "They don't turn human until they move out and live on their own!!!!!!!!!!!"

Oh Lord. I dread the teenage years. My kiddo is 12 and he's already a piece of work. He won't say anything to me once the door is open in the drop off line, and he requests me to wear short skirts and high boots to his school functionsFORGET IT!!!! So I can impress the other 11-12 year old's? Creepy and just....no. This gets better, right? RIGHT????

I was a room mother every year for my son, and when he hit 6th grade, he asked me if I could just leave the food outside the door of his classroom....he said he would come and get it out of the hallway. That was the end of my room mother days.

I lucked out. My daughter was fine till she turned 13. Nothing is as cold and mean as a 13 year old girl. But it only lasted for two years. Then suddenly she was 15 going on 40. I'm not sure how that happened but was sure glad it did. Used to give me cold chills when she'd walk through the house from her room to the kitchen with that sullen look on her face that said, "Don't look at me. Don't talk to me." It's that 13 year old ...... off girl look that prompts you to hide the guns and knives before you go to sleep.

I never led any of my children to even THINK that was a possibility.

Then she was fine! When I asked her about it one time she gave me this long explanation that would rival anything explanation Sheldon on Big Bang would give. (She has a Masters in Psychology and is working on her PHD.)

Hey Meggers.......look what I found to go with your bunny outfit.

 Cool bike cover!
Cool bike cover! LOL.....I think most girls go thru this......my daughter used to hide in the floor board of the car when we parked in front of Walmart or Kmart....she did not want any of her friends to see her "slumming". And when clothes shopping, she used to lay down in dressing room floors and cry because I would not buy her $78 jeans. She finally got married and became part of the real world.....and now shops at Walmart.

Yeah...my daughter came home from college one time and said, "Did you know Dollar General sells clothes? Score!" Oh yeah...she has .09 cents out of every .10 cents she ever earned.
