I'm so excited to find out that I was wrong!!! Mom & dad did make it to the neurologist today!!!
There will be many more trips but at least we've begun

Pretty sure dad took her himself hon, but I don't know that for a fact. All our communication these days is through DH and he doesn't remember things too well. The doctor gave her some kind of medicine but DH doesn't know what it was.
Sigh, it stopped snowing for a little bit but now it's back

Guess that's all right tho', I'm not going anywhere anyway and DH is already home and back in bed

Too bad DH doesn't take notes for you while he's on the phone. Some of the info passed could be important. I guess this was a visit for tests and they will be waiting for results.

They drew blood for sure. And she will have to go back several times but hopefully they can do something to make her at least a bit more comfortable

I was looking for a picture or a place to buy one. Couldn't find it easily. But what about something like erasable markers and a board by the phone, or a small chalkboard and chalk? Even a notepad and pencil. If he doesn't use it at first, you might be able to hammer the point home about how important it is to get your messages.

The pic of Clooney painting the toenails made me laugh. Years ago, mom had neck surgery so couldn't bend her neck down to be able to paint her toenails (this was before mani/pedis were so popular). Dad was a real sweetheart and painted them for her. She said instead of painting them cuticle to tip, he painted them side to side

And Dale's story about not enough info brought back memories of my own experience. Years ago...probably 40, I had gone for my annual pap smear, and the dr's. office told me if everything was ok they would not contact me. A couple of days later.....Christmas eve to be exact, I was out shopping for Christmas dinner groceries, and I get home and my first DH told me...."The Dr's office called." I, of course, panicked. I asked him what they said.....he said, "I don't remember." By then it was too late to call the doctor, and it was on a Thursday night, so I had to wait til the following Monday to find out I did not have cervical cancer.
Needless to say, it was not a great Christmas. Turned out, it was an infection that was cleared up immediately with antibiotics.
And another time, my first hubs brother was babysitting for us....when we got home, he said, "Someone called to tell you they are in the hospital." We asked him who called, and he said, "I did not get their name." We found out later, it was a good friend who was a farmer and he had gotten his arm caught in an auger.
So Dale....it must be a man thing.
And that, dear Beachers, is why I will always have caller I.D. and an answering machine.

And I just thought I was not going out today.....hubs called and said my retirement fund manager sent him email that I had not cashed my November pension check. (Hubs is my insurance agent so he was contacted). So I checked....and sure enough there it was in my in basket on my desk here. (It came while we were on vacation, and I just filed it because it was already time for my next check by the time I got it so I thought I would cash both checks at the same time.) So I got cleaned up, went to the bank, and while out, stopped and bought groceries. There is not a lot of wind so it really isn't too bad for 8 degrees.
