LOL....Hi, Dale. And hi, VG.

It was a bad night at the casino.....for all four of us, and for everyone else as far as I could tell. Machines were really tight for us ladies, and the tables were not kind to hubs or our friend either. So our private island is going to have to wait. :(

But I brightened up considerably reading your posts. Some very good funnies....especially reading Sun's posts while on drugs. :D

We got home mid afternoon.....picked up our Home Depot special order ceiling replacement tiles, and came home and finished the basement. It now looks as good as it did b.c. (In this house that is before cats.)

Then hubs got an itch for some stuffed green peppers, so back to town for some green peppers we went. He wanted cheesy potatoes with them....the meal took us almost two hours to fix. And I threw in some Louisiana hot sauce in the pepper's stuffing mixture....and it gave them a strange cajun taste that neither one of us liked. So I doctored them up with chili spice and ketchup, and they were edible....not great, but edible. Hey, even a great chef makes a mistake once in a while!

We did have a good time with our friends....but unfortunately, the casino was so tight, I do not think they will be calling us to go again.....and I do not think we will be running back any time soon. I noticed when I was at the cashiers' counter that the overall payout percentage has dropped again. :glare: That will curtail our trips.

Hey, Glam. Welcome home. :)

Not all "Louisiana hot sauces" are good, or actually from Louisiana. Which one did you use?

I thought that was kind of strange to be honest, I mean ... he was 83

We have good friends in their mid 70s, and he was a heavy, heavy smoker for years...and he quit over 30 years ago. He was just diagnosed with COPD......from smoking. It can show up later in life even after quitting.

Louisiana Supreme....made in St. Martinville, LA. I usually use Frank's.....but grabbed the Louisiana one just for kicks and giggles. We got no kicks or giggles from the taste.
