Growing up, we always peeled every potato, but then years ago, I read that the most nutritious part is the skin, so I quit peeling them....much faster that way too. Laziness prevailed. :laugh:

I love to eat the peel when they are baked!! I leave them on when I cook them in the crock pot too.

Hey I might stick a roast in one for tomorrow!!! :drool:

And this is why I probably won't go down that road.
Heck if he got kicked in the right place, he might not move for days!!!!

:D....I think he did worry about that. We let her get in bed with us when she would wake up crying, because neither one of us wanted to get up with her. Laziness prevailed....again. :laugh:

This is true, it is healthier to leave the skin on. But… you make mashed/creamed potatoes with the skin on??

Yep....they are a little chunky. :laugh: Hubs usually makes the mashed potatoes....he peels them, and then uses the electric mixer (which is every chef's no no), and whips the hell out of 'em....I do not care much for that way. But that is what he grew up with. So when he sees me with the potatoes, and knows they are going to be mashed, he takes over. Red garlic mashed, he will let me do them because he likes the peeling on those.
