I have a Craig's List story....just happened. Hubs put our almost new hot tub cover on there....and someone in FL responded that they wanted it, and would send a cashiers check and a mover to pick it up....alarm #1. Then hubs gets a check today in the mail from this person for $1600....he was asking $200 for the cover. Enclosed was a note to please cash the check, keep the $200 and wire the 1400 to the mover out in West Virginia. Huge alarm!! LOL....hubs went looking for CL scams....there it was. The check would have been NSF and hubs would have been out $1200. Jerks!!

We get that all the time. When we listed a car for sale, they wanted up to ship it to them. Of course they would pay us back.

I wish I did too!!! Grrrr. I was going to go get some of that 'cold weld' stuff but hubs said it would not hold.

JB Weld and the like has never worked for me, either. But some people swear by it. All I did was Swear!

I didn't see that part of her post (somebody else has got to make the next post) or I would have realized!!

If I hadn't been away from the computer, I may have hit it, too.

I've used it on a lightweight repair. It did fine. But I can see where it wouldn't be strong enough for the frame of furniture.

Ah.....Tinkers.....I have wasted a lot more than $50 on juice I will not vape....tell hubs that. We all buy things that we wish we hadn't.

Why not try to cash the check first, and maybe keep everything over what it would cost to ship it yourself?
