A mouse running around the house is a pain in the azz.
I hate those mices to pieces! Been lucky for a while and haven't had any uninvited guests.

The last time I did, I bought a couple live capture traps. and, they worked! Call me an odd person, but I felt better releasing them far from humanity than the alternative.

I know what you mean, NCC. It's illegal to transport wild animals in this state, if I release them close to home, they will come back in the house.

I don't know about the transporting part. What they don't know won't hurt them though.

I drove my 'guests' so far out of town, having them return to my house (or anyone else's house) would've been the mouse equivalent of a journey to the Moon. Just not gonna happen, LOL.

The release was really pretty cool too. The little guys bounced away with a lot of energy into the woods. I enjoyed the sight.

Rats, ants, roaches and spiders are creatures I NEVER have to worry about going extinct. They'll be here after we're gone.

Yes, they will. So, because of that .... what?

I will note that rodents are the only mammals on your list.

Because of that, I don't release near or far. :)

While mammals are closer related to us, I look upon all creatures the same though...all living things, including plants, which may simply have thoughts we don't understand. :D
