Ok, first post ever! I bought a BLu starter pack 19 days ago now and have not had one 'analog' cig since it showed up. That has not hapened for me since I started smoking many many moons ago..I owe alot to my BLu. I also purchased it in black as not to be confused by onlookers with a real cig. However I welcome the oportunity to talk about it in hopes to make more converts, who knows maybe save a life? or at least make the world smell better:p So her's the thing. Whats the next step? At first I wanted somthing looking like a real Cig. I did my reserch and Blu was the best option. Like I said no complaints, its awsome. Now however I want bigest most crazy looking vaporizer I can get! One that delivers huge plumes with an insane batterie & a giant tub to fill with juice. I would love some advice. Thanks and thatnks for the great forum!

Personally my next step was to check out dripping/New flavors. So you know the Blu uses a 510 atomizer. This means that your batteries have threads for a 510. If you want to get a drip tip for your Blu you would have to look for a 510 or 901 tip. Also you can use a 306 atomizer with your current batteries. I found that I liked the 306 better than a 510. Now 8 months later I am a huge lover of 901 atomizers. (be aware they have different threads) IMHO the 901 produces plumes of smoke and more rich flavors than the 510 or the 306. In the new flavors front I would check out DIY Flavor Shack. The company is run by a woman named Dawn who is knowledgeable and very friendly. She also throw in a grab bag of extras if you use the new to us coupon code listed on her main page. As far as batteries go 18650 are the way to go. Currently I have built a Tekkeon mod (mp1860A) using with a 901 thread. I am not sure if you are familiar with electronics or not but if you are I can send you a few links to get you started. If you would just prefer to buy an atomizer I have heard rave reviews on the Ego.

Wow, thank you! that is a huge help, I have lerned more in 1hr on this forum about E-cigs then I ever thought existed. I love it. I will do some more reserch on tips and atomizers like you said. Looking foward to building a kick but vaporizer, sounds alot more my style then buying a complete start up kit again. I did check out the Ego since it seems to get alot of atention here. Another question I had was about passthroughs; do they make for biger plumes? Also tank systems seem like the way to go what do you think?

Dripping on an auto battery will just kill the battery eventually. I would only suggest dripping on manual batteries not to mention the much better performance of manual batteries.

If you are really interested in a huge increase in performance, then get a good variable volt PV such as the Darwin from nhaler.com and a better atty or carto. Or one of Stormys Map Tanks. I would definitely at least look at a good 5 volt PV, such as the GLV2 from Great Lakes Vapor if moving to variable volt is too radical for you. The Blu in comparison to these two better battery PV's is like comparing a candy cigarette to a Marlboro.

There are many devices available. I use You Tube to view video reviews of mods before deciding to make a buy. I have 15 mods and 3 on order. I have several favorites, but remember my favorites may not be yours. The SILVER BULLET is an industry superstar, having been reviewed by many of the top reviewers out there. I have 3 of these. Different styles..silver,black,and silver streaked. It was my go to mod for a long time, with a 18650 battery that lasted me over 2 days on a charge. Now a new favorite of mine is Ciscos HELIX mod...uses a 26650 4000 MAH battery the largest battery on the market...with a 510 connection using a Cisco 510 LR atty it produces a great vapeing experience. Rich flavor with tons of vapor. Throat hit isnt very important to me..I like tons of vapor and good flavor.....Hope this may assist you....

I literary just posted something about this Here.

Also a HUGE DISCLAIMER!!!
!!!DO NOT USE LOW RESISTANCE ATTYS WITH YOUR BLU!!!
I burned out 5 batteries this way. The problem is that the battery's power the atty through a POS transistor. This transistor can not handle the higher current from the lower resistance atty and after a very short time the chip will fry. It will work for a while but then suddenly the battery wont work ever again.... Which is the primary reason I built my first pass through (explained details in the above link on proper wattage) and then lead me to wanting a wireless vape solution which lead me to build my Tekkeon Mod (MP1860A) Which runs on two 18650s in series each providing 2Amp Hours (can pull 2 amps for an hour at 3.7 volts or 1 amp for 2 hours ect...) Here are a few pictures of my mod.

It also doubles as a USB Charger and flash light. (I moved the led to the other side) I would recommend 30 gauge wire for this mod it makes life so much easier. (You should use 3 or more strands for load distribution on such a small wire)

Also as far as awesome vapor production goes I would highly recommend a 901 atty with a 80/20 VG/PG base with 20/80 Flavor/Base mix. I can make clouds so thick you can not see through them. If you do decide to make your own fluid, I do because of the hue cost savings. Here is my favorite Recipe which I created based on a mixed drink called Bruised Heart.
Bruised Heart (6%)
Ingredant Drops Percentage Custom
Peach 21 Drops 6.36% 13 Drops
Cranberry 21 Drops 6.36% 13 Drops
Raspberry 21 Drops 6.36% 13 Drops
Ethyl Maltol 3 Drops 0.91% 2 Drops
VG 211 Drops 63.94% 127 Drops
PG 20 Drops 6.06% 12 Drops
Nicotine 60mg 33 Drops 10.00% 20 Drops
Total : 10.0 mL Total : 6.0 mL

With a 901 and this mix you can blow clouds you can not see through ;-).

I disagree. I have disassembled several Automatic/Manual batteries and they all are very isolated. I could drip fluid into the hole and nothing would happen. Other than reducing the pressure required to trip the automatic battery. The thing that will really kill the battery is over loading it. Or over draining it. The chips inside should be designed to regulate that but often they do not.

Increasing the voltage just increase the wattage on the coil. This can damage the atty and reduce its life span. I would avoid this if at all possible.(Speaking form experience)

OK well yeah... after reading this and posting an admitedly hasty reply I have investigated farther and found that it apears Blus are indeed a 510 thread. I actually just dug my old Blus out of the bottom of my tackle box and screwed a carto on my Riva batt and it fired right up! WOW!! Who'd a thunk it??!?!?

All this time and I never knew that. I geuss you do learn something new on ECF every day! haha

Blu attys are not 510's. You can use the attys that come on the Blu on a 510 device, but (I think) if you use a 510 atty on the Blu battery, it will run the battery down fast. The ones that come on the blus don't even look the same as a 510 atty. It is definitely different, even though the threading fits. Hope this helps, rather than confuse..

I just did some additional research and I stand corrected. I thought the blu had the same hardware as the Revolver (The device I purchased after waiting 3 weeks for my blu to ship...) The Revolver uses the 510 atty as where the Blu uses a 306. My apologies for the confusion. Either way as I explained before the 306 and the 510 have the same threads.

Blu cartos definately will work on a Riva batt. I am hitting one right now! If only I could figure out how to get the end cap off...

I don't have any more here..but I had one of the new cartomizers when they first came out & the bottom popped off w/ a paper clip...I tried undoing their juice & adding mine because it was way too high nic for me, wasn't able to fix the nic level, but I sure got the bottom off! I took one apart, I think they are bottom coiled? Never to perform again after disection..but that was mute.

I used to drip on my old style blu atty all the time, just a smidge on the bridge, never had an issue..but I never dripped heavy like when I tried with manual 510's & plain dripping, it was always to bump the vapor/flavor of their old style carts.
