How are the tankomizers? I just discovered them today I was thinking about buying a cartomizer and making the bottle mod

Best atomizer yet. I went to volcano ecig and ordered a usb battery, tankomizer, and 5 tanks for no more than 30 dollars. I am extremely happy with it. I just fill up 2 or 3 tanks and go. I don't carry any messy bottles or my "kit" around. Best of all. NO MORE DRIPPING.

Ok dumb q but I cant seem to find an answer that clears it up for me...what exactly is a tankomizer, in terms of how is it different from an atomizer + cartridge (which I thought was basically an empty tank)?

If there is some major benefit to using it on a blu/510 vs carto or regular atty/carts maybe I should consider it. (look at me slinging the lingo a week in!)

Blu is NOT a 510 thread. Blu's are model L88b. The only rebrand I have found that they are compatible with is Volcano though I am sure there are probably others.

Blu is a 510 thread. I've got Blu and 510 gear, and I can say they are most interchangeable.

I've been meaning to check what attys Envy uses as they are lower bridge, lower resistance, and I find work better. But ecigwiki has no entry on l88c or whatever the next generation after blu is.

This video should explain it

Please read the whole thread before replying. This has already been explained.

Blu is not a 510. having the same threads does not make it the same thing. According to someone who researched it, Blu is L88B and although it has the same threads as 510 it is opposite electrical polarity. They said putting a 510 battery in a Blu charger will melt it and vice versa. Atomizers and cartomizers don't care about polarity and will work wither way. Batteries and chargers care very much.

Also - dripping is not recommended on auto batteries. Just FYI. Be careful with dripping. If the atty leaks down to the battery you can damage or kill your auto battery.

This is good to know. I always thought it was stupid how the center of the 510's were ground and the outside was positive. This defiantly explains it. Thanks for the info :)

FYI Low resistance cartos and atomizer are not recommended for batteries under 450mah and those dual coils are very low - 1.5ohms which means a very high power draw

Some people even avoid going below 2.0ohms on fat battery 510's like Ego and Riva

510 is the same polarity as the other main female battery, RN4081. The Blu L88b is the oddball.

First I am hearing of dual coils Where is a good place to buy one?

I've only tried the dual coils from Madvapes. They are 3 ohm coils wired in parallel for 1.5 ohm. As long as they are filled properly they won't burn, even at 6v. They are juice hogs though. I've really enjoyed them.

It really depends on how its wired. For example the BLU or most batteries that are cig shaped have transistors which power the atty on them and can not handle the higher current of the low res attys. The bigger problem is pulling 9.13 Amps on a 0.450 amp hour battery means that the battery dies almost immediately or fails because the battery is over current drawn. Either way its bad.
Now if its wired directly to the button its all dependent on what the maximum current draw the battery can handle (Based on the batteries internal resistance)

Higher ohm dual coil is available.

I use 1.6ohm madvapes dual coil on my tiny M402 batt and it works good.

They do drain the batt and help you get rid of your juice.

No biggie since I must dilute my juice w/ cheap PG because the TH of the dual coil is stronger.

I've been using the duel coil cartos on eGo batteries without any problems at all. I do prefer to use them on my Provari, but I don't tend to take that little baby outside the house much (too bulky compared to using a eGo or 510 PCC and looks to much like a pipe bomb ;)

I just ordered a jazz cartopipe cuz I like feel of a pipe not a pipe boomba..lol.

I feel I should just throw this out there because I assume if you don't have any experience with electronics you might not know.

So resistors in parallel are added like this 1/((1/R1)+(1/R2)+(1/Rn)......)=Req
So putting a 3 ohm in parallel with another 3 ohm atty would result in a combined resistance of 1.5 ohms. So the dual attys would have seemingly small resistances but that is a result of how resistors are combined.

The batt sees 1.5 ohms.
Batt passes same current regardless if it is one single coil 1.5ohm or a dual coil w/ two 3ohm in parallel.
