NO. It is a must to have a "backup" unit. The MVP2 is the best "bang for your buck" of all, IMHO. VV and VW, smaller then a pack of cigs, sturdy as heck (I am a "dropper") and most everything you can put on top of it looks great. The battery lasts for days, you can use it a passthrough or to charge your phone. 101 vapes has a great deal on them. You will not regret that purchase.

You are kind of taking a step sideways but the MVP has some advantages in that it is a fantastic traveller and the battery life is amazing--i.e. one of the most versatile mods out there. I'd much rather have gotten an MVP 2 instead of my Vamo V2. Maybe you can give your V3 to someone? Also the mvp 2.0 can be had at 101vape for $40 so it's a steal.

If you want to take a step up, you'd have to think about what you want that your Vamo or MVP wouldn't provide for you. There's the siglei 20w, Provari, DNA 20/30 mods in vv category. A mech might be nice if you want to rebuild with an rda or rba. You might want a REO. What are you looking for?

well I'm more on the VTR side of the tracks. This is because I have one and decided not to get the MVP because of the non replaceable battery, However I found out that the battery is a standard lipo flat pack type, not replaceable for most folks but easy to replace by me. So I'm now considering buying one as a back up to my VTR. I will also replace the battery on any MVP if you folks need that service. I have been working with Lipo flat packs for a great many years they are the worlds most dangerous battery yes, but not if you know what your doing and learn how to use them safely.

Hey, I just bought a new Twist Rainbow, so I can relate! I am planning on stocking up little by little in the next 2 years, in case.
You can't be too careful. I may even learn how to recoil!

Hey, I have a Provari and I bought a Twist because it is pink!! That is in addition to the vv3 that I have. So buy away so long as you can afford to. Also you never know when those crazy FDA folks might decide we can't buy anything!!

So I have a vamo v3 and I really enjoy it. I was doing some looking around and came across themvp2.0. I know it's been discussed which is better so I ask these questions. ..would buying the mvp2.0 when I have a v3 be silly? Am I taking a step sideways? Also is it silly to have multiple units

Yes, a step sideways - but a good step. As others said, its important to have a back up. And its fun having something different. Both are good pvs with different features. Glad you enjoy the Vamo - I love mine. I'd say its been my most used pv - I've used it heavily for a long time.
