Lastly, if MVP2.0 is the "best" upgrade, is it possible to recharge it to a wall outlet somehow? I'm sure I need some adapter for that but I'm not sure which. But I do have a power plug with a USB connector
Not all devices come with a "wall wart" but that can actually be easily dealt with. Like I nabbed one of these:
USB wall adapter
USB is standardized so a lot of the widgets out there will work fine. The key is to get one that has sufficient output. That particular one is rated up to 2.1 amps so it'll work in most cases. Your average "mod" (or APV... "Advanced Personal Vaporizer") battery charges at one half amp to one amp. So a wall wart that can handle 2.1 amps has more than enough.
Do
not get anything meant to charge cell phones or iPods or other mp3 type players. They're not meant to drive a larger battery like the MVP has. On the other hand, an iPad charger will work. I've done it myself.
(The iPad's wall wart is rated at 2.1 amps just like the Amazon one I link to above.)
Far as the MVP in general, it's wildly popular around here though I passed on it myself and went for the VTR (also by Innokin). My only issue with the MVP is that while it has nice battery capacity (2600mAh if I recall), the battery cannot be replaced. Now, it'll last a good while
but batteries do eventually wear out. You have to replace the entire unit. You can't just slap another battery in.
On the other hand,
101vape has a fantastic price on the MVP so even replacing the unit might not be all that costly over the long haul. Depends on how hard you are on your batteries. Myself, I'm pretty rough on them. I vape a lot and at a fairly high wattage. So I went for the VTR since 18650 batteries--even high end ones--are not terribly expensive to replace.
In general, though, loads and loads of folk here on the ECF are quite happy with the MVP. It was in my "short list" when I was ready to upgrade. I do like the "pass through" ability. My VTR doesn't have that. That could help on battery life since if you're near a powered USB port or have a "wall wart", you don't have to run on the battery at all. Just run off battery when you're out and about.
