Did a fresh build on 26 gauge Kenthal. 8 wraps, dual micro coils on 1/8" ID.

Hits like a champ on my XC2 @ 48watts...

But damn, there's nothing like TC... The clouds, flavor, adjust-ability of warmth, lack of vapors tongue is so much different then Kenthal. The only thing i don't like, is the resistance is a pain in the .... 11 wraps on big ... 4.2mm screw and i barley reached the min OHM resistance @ 0.07.
I've built .05 ohms on the XC2 and it fires, surprisingly (manual says 0.06 is the min for ni200) but it hits temp protect warning when i build that low. I

I've only done Nickel builds so far, but I've got 24 gauge grade 1 titanium coming in this Monday.

Can anyone tell me how the resistance of Ti compares to Ni200? Will it be a pain in the ...? Can wait to try iT~!

Titanium is gonna be higher resistance, so you'll probably be in better shape there. One thing that's killing you, of course, is dual coil. Cuts your resistance in half.

You may wish to try stainless steel also. It has an even higher resistance than titanium, but still lower than kanthal, and can be used in temp mode.

In your opinion, what gives the best flavor between SS and Ti?

Or should I say, what gives the least metallic flavor? I barely noticed it in Ni, but its such a pain to reach .06 omhs with out making 19 (million) wraps.
