I've been thinking the same thing, but build my own. I'm going to be haunting some flea markets and such to see if anything strikes my fancy to use as a casing for it.

Can easily build one from parts ordered on line, even with my failing old fart eyes and caffeine induced trembling hands . Just a matter of trying to find the right look for a case.

All of those are good choices, the Roughstack ins't as tank friendly as the others (have to use an adapter) due to the top button if that matters to you but a great mod.

I'm a vv guy, just gives so many more options than fixed voltage plus it's regulated so the vape doesn't slope down as the battery drains, for me the choice is easy, Lavatube.

Smartvapes.com has some nice low priced mods, Definatley buy a silver bullet if the price is not too much, they are super.

I would go with the Silver Bullet first, second choice would be the Rough Stack. JMHO

Cool, thanks. I have been leaning toward the Silver Bullet, but at 3.7v it's a little low and 6v seems like overkill.

The Lavatube is like a cheap Provari, so that might be good. I do want to use a tank.

Not sure how much I trust my DIY skills, but I've always thought a Maglite would make a good tube to start with.

I've had the lava tube for a few weeks it was inexpensive and works pretty good

The SB can hold the 4.8v ni-mh batts - pretty much all of the 18650 tube mods can use those. There's one in one of my maxi rough stacks right now.

The Silver Bullet is the mod all other mods are judged by. It is the gold standard of the vaping world and there's good reason for that. It works great, is built like a tank and is reasonably priced. I've never heard anyone say, "I hate my Silver Bullet."

I've been using a SB for 14 months and no problems, if you did have a problem chances are Chad would fix it for free, best customer service I've ever seen. I like the RS but would have to move the switch to the side. CS is good at MadVapes also.

Looks like the kick can be added to pretty much any mod and turn it into a VV. Awesome.

Ok, I guess it's the Silver Bullet then. What's the best place to get a couple of 4.8v Nimh protected batteries?

They sure do carry a lot of different stuff. There are a couple of other places, just so you know. Electronicstix is one (US home of the megladon - which is another 18650 mod you might want to look at), COV, and I think I saw them on nhalers site once too.

....just be aware, those 4.8v NiMh batts take a diff charger than whatcha use for LI batts........
