When I lung inhale it feels like the flavor I'm inhaling (Vapor Dojo's Butterscotch)coats my throat with rich creamy butterscotch. I don't get that when I inhale with my mouth.
I'm totally blown away by the number of people on this thread that said that they used to mouth hit analogs.
I'm an older guy, let's say 50+. I've known, met and seen thousands of people smoking analogs over the years.
In all my years, I've never seen one of those smokers do a mouth hit, usually a massive deep lung inhale,
especially on the first few drags. Molecules from tobacco get absorbed much faster in the lungs.
I can understand taking mouth hits on strong cigar tobacco. Ever inhaled a cigar four to five times in a row?
Better be sitting down.
Well, I'm not that old a dog. I learn something new everyday. Mouth vape, lung vape, nasal vape; as long
as we're vaping. Vape on, my friends.... Ed
I was a mouth inhaler before, mouth inhaler now. Truly never thought about it until I saw one of these threads recently. So I tried the whole lung inhale thing and felt like my lungs were caving in! No thank you.
Most liquids in the house are in the 12-18mg range. Some higher because trial and error has taken us there to get a satisfactory throat hit, or better maintains a "therapeutic nicotine level" when we vape (some flavors encourage frequent and even chain vaping, and so a high nic concentration would be "too much").What at nic content do you use? I'm asking coz I'm a really heavy chain smoker.. So far not sure if I chain vaped what's the best mix (flavour + nicotine content) and or does it matter?
I generally mouth inhale. My technique involves drawing a mouthful and then quickly inhaling it into my lungs while immediately beginning another mouth draw. As I draw the second mouthful, I exhale the first hit though my nose. Finally, I inhale the second mouthful into my lungs and exhale to complete the vape. Generally my SVD times out just as I complete my second mouth inhale. I find this technique delivers maximum flavor and is very satisfying.
Great discussion! Thanks for all the information.
I've smoked analogs for the better part of 30years and never really thought about if I was lung or mouth inhaling. Now that I think back, I must have been mouth inhaling. While vaping it seems I lung inhale. If I mouth inhale, it doesn't feel like a get a good amount of vapor otherwise. Mouth inhaling feels odd while vaping. Not sure why this is. Might be a reason why my voltage levels were lower than most of the settings I've seen mentioned on the forums here.
Now that I've read this article, I'm trying to mouth inhale again. Experiment, experiment, experiment![]()
